Hey, have there been RWers who believe that "The Two Towers"

was written about the WTC attack, and boycotted the Tolkien movies because of it?

I would love to see their postings about that!

Don't think there are any stupid enough to think it was actually written ABOUT 911, but I do remember there were some ppl complaining about the title

Often during the movie, they would zoom in so close that you couldn't see the edge of the eye - just the ratherly strangely shaped iris.

5. Yes, there was actually an online petition

to get them to change the name of the movie. Most of the signees (including myself) took a chance to righteously mock them in our signatures for doing so.

that the title of "The Two Towers" be changed because of the September 11 attacks? It was on a site that's used for a lot of political petitions.

Anyway, when I saw it the petition had generated something like 500 signatures. Except that when you paged through and actually read the comments, 80% were nothing but insults and mockery. It was absolutely hilarious!
