I am so proud of myself today!
Awhile back, I procured a gas powered lawn mower for our yard, because the elevation is so uneven that the reel lawn mower just was not working for us. This lawn mower was a free craigslist find. The guy indicated that he was having trouble starting it so he was giving it away. So I drove to where it was, loaded it into the back of my van and managed to find a way home from a location in Los Angeles County back to my home in south Orange County without having to get on the freeway (I was afraid the tailgate on my van was going to come open and the lawn mower would fall out). I figured all the mower needed was a spark plug, so I picked up a spark plug, some gas and some oil, and pretty much procrastinated about it until today.

I put the new spark plug in, pulled the string 3 times and VROOOOOOOM. I mowed my lawn in record time.

Did I tell you the mower also had a bag on it, so I do not have to rake up grass clippings too?

I wouldn't know the first thing about changing a spark plug.

You are one amazing woman.

8. I was so pleased.
Saved us about $400 (the cost of a new basic lawn mower).

9. I know.
Our side yard is fairly even. The front yard is not, but it is about 8 feet by 14 feet, so it is not too strenuous a job.

10. Yeah, baby!
:woohoo:

I cannot believe the guy gave me the lawn mower when a part costing a total of $1.36 (with tax) fixed the problem. But that is my midwestern sensibility.

Good job. I picked up a free snowblower and have to figure out a way to fix that before winter!

13. You should be proud!
Great job! And thanks for reminding me. I need to mow my lawn this weekend. It's small so I use a reel mower. Nice and quiet, and if I get up at some ungodly hour in the morning, I don't disturb my neighbors.
