iPod Help Needed: Converting podcasts into a "Talking Book"

I've tried simply copying-and-pasting podcasts into the talking book list to no avail.

I'd like to be able to convert podcasts into "tailing book" format so I can listen to them at faster-than-normal speed.

I've got 8 days worth of Stephanie Miller StephCasts (Only $4.95 per month with you purchase a year in advance) that I need to get caught-up on.

1. I haven't tested this... It might work, it might not.

First, use iTunes to convert the files to the AAC format. It should be under ADVANCED --> CONVERT TO AAC in iTunes...

OK, now you have aac files...

Find the actual file and rename it.. The file extension should be .M4b. So:

whatever.m4a

becomes

whatever.M4b

That should allow audio-book features on the file.. Like I said, that info is from googling and might not work.
