1. Yes, and the owners should be charged
with animal abuse. It's disgusting, especially with the doxies and bassets (and what looked like a corgi), like those breeds don't have *enough* inherent problems with their joints as it is without being 2x their normal weight. The poor things are most likely in some amount of pain just about all the time. There's no excuse for that.

4. I would have to agree with your assessment. Fat is just as
dangerous for our pets as it is for us. All of these dogs could use modifications in their diet and exercise. Many people would disagree, but these are cases of animal abuse and neglect.

9. And the back problems these breeds are so prone to have.
That added weight seriously complicates them having a long, happy life.

2. "If your dog is fat, you're not getting enough exercise".
old quote, I know.

Poor owners.

3. Are you SURE that first pic is a dog?
It looks kinda catlike.

That said, to let a pet get this fat is downright evil.

7. It's flat out wrong.
It should be criminal, if it's not already.

Then again, you can't assume to know that there's not some other problem going on with the dog. Unlikely as it may be, perhaps the dog has some kind of disease, much like a thyroid problem for humans.

Like I said, it's quite unlikely, but you never know.

8. I have a fat dog, not quite as fat as those guys.

We are working on it. He has hundreds of acres to run, he is outside chasing rabbits and whatever else he wants. It is not the lack of exercise.
He is the lowest ranked dog in a pack of six and I believe that is his problem. He tends to eat more than he needs in case the other dogs won't let him eat the next time. I really have to monitor him or he just gorges himself.
