1. You are correct!
And this is from a heterosexual white guy. Why do we label people anyway? We are first and foremost human beings. Black, white, a little green guy from Mars(well maybe not him), homosexuals, heterosexuals, what difference does it make?

2. Sorry I don't like the term Gay rights...
As a Gay man I don't want gay rights! I want equal protection under the law. I want what all Heterosexuals take for granted. Has nothing to do with being Gay, it has to due with being a human being and being treated with respect.

3. How about Civil Rights, like the original poster stated?
My dad tried to tell me that calling the struggle of the GLBT community as a continuation of the Civil Rights fights of the 60's was an affront to King. He said homosexuals chose to be that way, and you can't protect a lifestyle.

I told him once we repeal all the protections we afford the lifestyle choice of whatever religion people choose to be, he can say that. Whether you believe its a choice or they are born that way, they are still people. And simply bigotry is the only thing keeping them from being treated that way.

BTW, I want to beat mercilessly the scumbag who twisted the cries for equality from the homosexual community as somehow them asking for special rights.

4. Equal Rights For All
The repukes and the fundies don't get it. Or maybe they actually DO get it but they always need that notion of feeling superior and being superior.

It's coming... we're making progress. We're not there yet, but we're a bit further along than our brothers and sisters of the Stonewall era.
