Sopranos -- Best Episode Ever?
All right, I admit it, I'm a johnny-come-lately to the Sopranos. After avoiding it for years and years (thinking wrongly that I'd already seen enought mafia dramas to last a lifetime), I started watching this season and got hooked. Then, I borrowed my brother's copy of the "Sopranos -- Season I," and was completely blown away by how good it was. SO I just bought Season II on Amazon.

Knowing me, I'll probably end up watching every single episode. So what should I be looking for as I watch? Are there any episodes in particular that stand out? Which season is the best? Which episode is the best?

2. Yes. Yes. Yes. Pine Barrens.
Also "Christopher" is a good episode.

Enjoy watching. I was like you, but finally relented in the 4th season. I'm all caught up and am lucky enough to have a friend who will happily let us watch her HBO for some home-cooked Italian food. So, we have a Sunday Sopranos party complete with food. It's awesome.

6. I can't pick a single episode because there are too many to narrow it down.
Here's a possible spoiler:

But my favorite scene is when they stage an intervention for Christopher due to his drug use. Everyone is there: Tony, Syl, Paulie, Carm, Adrianna, Chrissie's mom, etc. And it gets brought up that Chris had accidentally crushed Ade's dog Cosette while in a drugged out haze. The look on these mobsters faces was priceless - these guys who have viciously killed dozens of people are appalled that Chris killed a tiny little dog! And then Chris calls his mother a c*nt, and Syl and Paulie fly across the room and pound the shit out of him! Oh god I busted a gut laughing so hard! That scene was just the funniest thing.

9. That was a great episode...

And yes, the irony of these killer mobsters reacting so severely over the little dog (although I certainly did) was hilarious...

On edit, oh, I so love your sigline.... Whatever would Hoss do? I wonder if there are a lot of youngsters on DU that have no clue to whom you are referring? LOL... I loved Dan Blocker and his portrayal of Hoss. Remember the Easter Bunny episode? And, there was a leprachaun one that wasn't reshown for a long time--my sister always thought I was delusional talking about it! LOL

RIP, Mr. Hoss.
