1. No kidding.
Cereal costs enough. You think they could do more than a sticker or a mail-in "prize."

2. Do you remember the days when you got towels in boxes of detergent?
My mom used to buy those - big boxes of dry detergent with a beach towel in it. Of course, there was hardly any detergent because the towel took up so much room. :eyes:

But yeah, we used to get good stuff in cereal. And they had honest names - Sugar Smacks, Sugar Pops, Super Sugar Crisp.

3. Mmm, give me that old-time sugar cereal
my dad worked for Quaker Oats when I was a kid so mostly I just ate Capn Crunch and Quisp. Good times.

4. And you could get glasses in quaker oats.
I do remember all of that. I guess being kind to the customer cuts into the profit margin these days, though.

5. not to mention that cereal has gotten more expensive
and the employees pay has languished while the CEOs clean up. Just like everything else I guess. Come the revolution that shit will stop.

6. That's right - I remember that
And jelly came in glasses too. We had a bunch with Flintstones characters on them. Yeah, so much for the days when companies actually offered a little something extra.

8. And glasses
With grape jelly. When the jar was empty, you'd wash it out then put in the cupboard.
