14. OMG...

went canoing on a river that was up a little bit, and went with some novice paddlers who swamped immediately (in their 70's no less, went with a group from church)

then we swamped, very hard turn, fast water and big assed branch across the stream. Rode on my ass for 150 yards because couldn't get up.

Then a variety of other mishaps along the way, mostly trying to help other people and falling on my ass on slipper moss covered wet boulders :grr:

and my neck is screwn from apparently ruptured discs and calcium deposits that are impinging the nerves and causing pain and numbness.

I'll put some capsascin cream on it and probably take a hot shower as well.

for the moment, muscle relaxers are helping some.

I just transcribed my audio tape and now I just got to get the energy to write it. It's not due for a few days but it's kind of slow now so I should just get it over with now.

2A, 3A, 4A and 5A track -- both boys and girls. Eight deep (state championships). Only me here. Keep an eye on the soccer and baseball pairings. 2A championship soccer game and 4A semifinals tonight. 4A and 5A swimming.

And to make it even more fun, we've got to go early tonight.

We're winding up the regular season now. COnference tournaments start next week then state tournaments the week after. We will be really busy soon.

all we've got left is state golf and one -- maybe two -- soccer games on Tuesday. After that, we're done 'til August. Tonight's it for me as far as preps goes -- they don't need me for golf or soccer, besides I've got a kid graduating on Tuesday.
