Fats Domino to play for the first time since Katrina tomorrow night

The 79 Year old Domino whose house in the lower ninth ward was destroyed by Katrina is scheduled to take the stage at Tipitina's in New Orleans Saturday Night, his first performance since the Hurricane.

The city has a long way to go but this is a good sign. Fats hasn't been in the best of health lately, hopefully Saturday Night will do him good. It certainly will do the audience good.

This fall there will be a tribute CD released with the likes of Elton John, Paul McCartney, Robert Plant, Tom Petty, Lenny Kravitz and more reprising his songs.

3. I think he's doing pretty good for 79

but he's been through hell the last couple of years. He had to pass doing the jazzfest due to his health. I hope he kicks ass. I bet the appearance will be good for him.
