And now a surprise I think many of you will enjoy...


These are a few clips from the Smothers Comedy Brothers Hour from the late '60's. This show was so controversial, it was kicked off the air by C.B.S. for the brothers running political commentary. And, like the old Ed Sullivan show, they had the best musical guests. Here are some tidbits...

9. They would make sly comments about the war every week. The


CBS censors repeatedly told them to stop, but the brothers continued, and so CBS pulled the show, when it was enjoying top 10 ratings.

The first album I ever bought was The Smothers Brothers live. I was 8.
