Convinced it will lead to people aborting pregnancies based on the sex of the fetus.

Who the hell would/could do that?

I'm sure a fair number of Americans, whether of Asian descent or not, would do so, too.

2. I can see it happening.

A lot of people get expectations about what they want their kids to be. I've heard women express preferences for either sons or daughters. Some even want specifically one of each. How planned is parenthood to be?

3. How insane!

I have a daughter that is 9 yrs old. I had my first son last June. When my surprise pregnancy happened, I was hoping for another girl, so was my dad and mother in law. Found out I was having another boy, I accepted that I was having another boy, as to where this was the last child and grandchild for both sides. I had my son 5 weeks early. He stayed in the hospital for 4 days after being born due to blood sugar problems. I was very lucky that the hospital let me stay as a boarder to take care of and breastfeed him. I treasure every minute with him, as to where I only have 8 weeks off of work to be with him. Yes, my first choice as my husbands when we first found out that I was pregnant, just 4 months after giving birth to my first son, was to abort. However, I was 12 weeks along when the pregnancy was found out. I wouldn't give my son up for the world. To abort based upon the sex is just crazy!!! Besides, it makes my daughter special!
