That thing is pretty cool. It's also damned expensive. When do you think it will become cheap and how cheap?

2. WiiSports is the first console game I've been reliably any good at.
I actually have some controller skills with the WiiMote.

9. C'mon...it's not a real game without the threat of injury.
(This comes from someone who wants to work in the computer gaming industry. :P)

5. I'm thinking about getting one for my son on his birthday...
...though $250 is a lot of money to spend on a damn game, I'm hoping it will be worth it.

11. the system. It was between the wii or the zune that I was going to get
my husband for Christmas. He wanted both and they were both $250.00. He got the PSP instead.

12. Play it almost daily..
It is pretty cheap when compared to other gaming systems. PS3-$600, Xbox360 $450. But prices should drop a little next year, after the christmas rush.

14. My kid has one
it was fun at first, but I am not sure if he plays it as much as he used to.....he had Call to Duty for wii, played it a couple of times and decided it was too much trouble to play, ended up going back to his PSII version, (he can play it online) and we ended up selling the CTD wii game. He likes it, just think he needs some new games.

It's a lot of fun :bounce:

16. We have one...
but relative to the PS3 ($600) I thought it was fairly inexpensive. Ours cost only $250.

But it's a lot of fun.

17. I think the Wii is destined to be the Dreamcast of this generation
It's an excellent mechanism. I'm just not sure game companies aren't going to take a few years to come up with truly innovative ways to use the controller, and I'm not entirely sure Nintendo is willing to take that kind of time.

20. Actually, I think what you're talking about is going to happen to the PS3
The main problems for the PS3 at this point are it's high price and the fact that it doesn't have any system buying games on it yet. The problem is is that game developers are starting to move towards the Wii now, and many of the traditional system buyers are going to come out on it as well. So when a game comes out that you can play on both the PS3 and the Wii, people are going to want to play it on the Wii because it's more interactive.

Things are not boding well for the PS3 right now. But the biggest problem Nintendo has at this moment is not being able to keep up with demand for Wii's. If there continues to be a shortage of supply, people may start to give up and try one of the other consoles.

18. I bought 2 systems this past Christmas
One for my 15 yo son and one for my adult daughter and her boyfriend. They love 'em. I did spend a pretty penny, however, finding and buying them 2 days before Christmas.

19. Yeah, I played it. It's okay.
It's not crazy good like I'd heard though.

And it's not that expensive when you put it up against XBox 360 and the PS3.
