I'll share: got a date. We're going to a hip-n-trendy restaurant for vegetarian sushi (she's a vegetarian). Then back home for bad videos. Or maybe for a walk, as the sun finally came out.

shopping at our new Nugget Market. We LOVE shopping there. Lots of organic food. And...they have Stephen Colbert's AmeriCone Dream ice cream. YUMMY...

We have lean fillet mignons that we are planning to smoke with apple wood chips and then grill. Some nice romaine lettuce and red and yellow peppers with a home made balsamic/olive oil vinaigrette will be our side. And, if we have any room left, we'll have a baguette with French brie.

Ralph brought back a great red Barbero wine from one of the smaller local wineries. We are just in heaven here.

Good luck on your date. I met Ralph through match.com in 2002 and we are a team ever since.

16. Cleaning :(

I just had some work done on my place so my garage is full of furniture and most of my other rooms are moved around. It involved dry wall so there's dust everywhere. I had to work a little this morning too. My dad is coming over tomorrow to help move big bookcases and things I can't move myself.

I should have invited a friend or two over for booze but that would result in a) not doing any cleaning/moving things or b) trying to move something that's too heavy and injuring myself, possibly severely.

I guess that subject should be 'Posting to procrastinate cleaning.'

I'm kind of jealous. I'm not doing a whole lot tonight - just sitting here posting on DU and snacking on Baked Lays, beef jerky, and a peach Enviga (green tea energy drink). Today has been my first real day off since the last day of classes on Thursday (yesterday the Queen visited, so my friends and I went to see her and then walked around Colonial Williamsburg for the rest of the afternoon, which was fun but tiring), so it's been pretty low-key for me - mostly sleeping, lounging around playing computer games, etc., although I did go to dinner with a friend. Tomorrow will probably be slightly more exciting - I think some friends and I might go out for drinks to celebrate the (real) end of classes. Should be fun.

Well, you don't seem old at all to me! I don't know if you're into The Who at all, but I once read an interview with Roger Daltrey where he said that as far as he was concerned, Keith Moon and John Entwistle both died before they got old (Entwistle was 57 or 58, I think - not really "old," but not as young as Moon), and that age was really just a frame of mind, or a matter of personality or something like that. I know it sounds kind of trite, but thinking about it like that kind of gives me hope - you know, the idea that you can live to be 100 and still "die before (you) get old." I think my great-grandparents did - they both lived to be about 90, and they never seemed "old" to me, so I guess it's a matter of perspective. Anyway, enough rambling from me, lol...I hope some of that may have helped, but if not, here's another e-hug for good measure. Peace.

45. yeah, i know...

it definitely IS a state of mind and I've always believed that. I don't think I look my age and don't feel my age, date guys much younger, etc. but I know I've been in denial. It's seeing a picture of someone you haven't seen for 25 yrs and you see this person that in your mind, still should look like they're 30 looking like 50....it shocks you into reality.

That's what happened tonight. But, I'm not ready to join AARP yet..if anything, it reminds me that I need to do everything I can to stay young.

I've been anxious to see that one. The last movie I saw was Night At The Museum, which will teach kids some basic facts about history and might make them want to go to a museum, but really adults like me won't enjoy most of the gags and creatures. 52. I'm still taking a break, but I decided to do a little posting..

today. I have to concentrate more on the franchise my dad and I are setting up.

The Queen was quite good! Helen Mirren was very dignified as The Queen, yet you could see her changes as the movie went on. I longed for the days Tony Blair was that sensible. It also gave me other insights into the royal family, like how jerky Prince Philip was - and you saw a softer side of Prince Charles. It also did a solid job of showing how Diana's death greatly affected the country.

We're in the process of getting the funding for it right now. My dad retired early at age 60 from science (no wonder, as there is little money for it now,) and I want to be my own boss, so setting up a franchise would be perfect. It's a computer repair and security business.

51. I had sushi also. We went out with five other couples to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday.

We started out at a sushi place, moved on to another bar for mojitos and margaritas, and wound up the evening in my favorite joint: The Front Door in Boise.

I thought some of my friends and I were going to go hang out at the bar tonight for Mug Night, but I haven't heard anything from any of them. I would just go to the bar myself and meet up with some of my other friends who I know are hanging out there, but it's kind of dark outside and it's not exactly a great idea for a college-age female to walk across campus by herself at night, especially carrying a mug well-known to be designed for alcohol consumption. Dammit.

(Also, I'm PMSing and kind of in a bad mood, so that doesn't help either. Blah.)
