1. I get a lot of my music from the public library
It's a great way to hear new things and then decide if you want to spend money on them.

That's how I found out about Hound Dog Taylor and several other great musicians.

Once I get a CD I load it onto a PC and/or MP3 player just because it's more convenient.

3. I buy it
I used to download some, but I like supporting the artists and the idea of paying for the enjoyment. I don't look down on the downloaders, though.

5. Both.
I never buy something unless I've downloaded and listened to it a few times first.

6. Both - but mostly still buy on C.D.
As I tend to inhabit the margins of the classical realms there are far fewer options in terms of downloads - but I do have several which I've found of more mainstream stuff.

I do then rip music from C.D. to my laptop and M.P.3 player...

8. Buy the CD, that way I can play it in my car...
then I can also rip it onto my PC and sync it to my mp3 player. Voila. :headbang:

9. Neither....it's funny, because I probably spent thousands of dollars on records (LPs and 45s)
when I was younger, but I can't tell you the last time I bought any music for myself (although I have purchased CDs as gifts for my wife). For the most part, I'll just listen to what's on the radio.

10. I have personally had four different music collections.

And I've probably spent a few thousand dollars on my collections. Nowadays, I download everything from limewire, and now have the collection I've always dreamed about. I won't ever buy another song or cd again.

11. When I was younger, I worked in a Sam Goodys for 3 years - it was a good experience in that I was
exposed to a great deal of music I probably wouldn't have heard on my own, but I sure spent a good chunk of my paycheck there!
