Some really good news...

I received my acceptance to Brown University today!! I am literally jumping for joy. I went to Virginia Tech after high school and didn't do very well.. that was 10 years ago.. starting in 2005 I put some time in at the local community college here in Rhode Island, worked really hard on my application, and voila! A beautiful Brown envelope appeared in my mailbox this afternoon. I'm still uncertain as to what my major will be.

I was also accepted to URI's Landscape Architecture program, and although the price tag is much easier to manage, and the commute would be much easier, I think I am going to take the risk and go with the once in a lifetime opportunity a Brown education will provide.

Ok, enough with the vanity post! Back to work!

EDIT: I wanted to thank DU, because a part of my application dealt with politics.. and I talked about some of my involvement in the 2004 Presidential Campaign, particularly with the Dean campaign.. something I never would have done without having been a member of this very fine forum. Although I have not posted much in the 6 years I've been here, DU is a major part of my life, and I visit at least a few times a day.

Oh, and I really wish I had my old screen name back! My current screen name is due in large part to paranoia, and my involvement in the 2004 campaign, and total distrust in the Bush Administration! I wanted something about as incognito as possible!
