Website for soldiers in Iraq and their furry buddies...
I was reading an article in my hometown paper today about a local soldier who was killed on March 6. His family received a picture of him from the night before, when he was holding a mongrel puppy he had "adopted" named "Hero". His family is trying to bring "Hero" to the states to be with them. There is a heartwarming website about soldiers over there, trying to save the lives of mongrel dogs by trying to cut through the red tape and bring them over here. 1. Aw c'mon...You might be able to help a puppy in Iraq!
Or you might be able to foster a dog or a cat for a soldier who is going to Iraq or Afghanistan. You never know. Please check out the website above.
