How can Klingons invent anything?
All they do is go around killing things, calling themselves warriors, and screaming "Perhaps today is a good day to die!!"

So, what if--

* Electricity. Benjamin Franklin Klingon flies a kite, sees a thunderstorm, and yells "Today is a good day to die!"

* The light bulb. Thomas Jefferson Klingon starts playing with glass and vacuums and grunts "Today is a good day to die!"

* The Kama Sutra. Willie Klingon mutters- oh, never mind...

And so on.

Hmmm. That's how they do it. Klingons lock up their mental invalids in an area and they invent all sorts of new technology; knowing if they screw up they get killed.

1. The Klingons basically stole most of their technology
Though there are a few Klingon scientists and engineers, they get little respect.

3. The Ferengi buy their technology...
-The Vulcans invent it (logically).
-The Romulans steal it.
-The Remans find it on Romulan landfill.
-The Klingons take it from various cold dead hands.
-The Borg assimilate it.
-The Founders absorb it.
-The Andorians get it by intimidation.
-The Federation bores everyone into unconscioussness with their selfrigheousness and then
"share" it when nobody's looking.

2. This is how I see it
the REALLY smart Klingons got together and said, we should invent a bunch of stuff that is totally kick-ass so the really dumb Klingons can have more, and cool, ways to die...

Because today really is a good day to die, even better if you got some cool way to do it!
