1. Whats the weather in your part of the world? Today it's overcast and chilly; we had a rain/snow mix yesterday and are expecting that again tomorrow. I live in Michigan and, despite weeks like this, I love our weather and the fact that we have four seasons.

2. What time do you usually wake up? I wake up like clockwork at 4 a.m. every day but can usually fall back asleep to then get up at 6:30. I'm a chronic insomniac who wakes up several times during the night.

3. How long do you spend away from the house on a daily basis or work/school? I'm supposed to work an 8 hour day but it's usually more like 9 or 10. During our pledge drive I worked 94 hours in one week.

Really windy, right now. Gusts to 50 mph, I'm guessing (I spent a lot of time near the sea, waiting to go and get under it, and on hurricane=prone islands, so my internal wind gauge is pretty accurate :D ).

Actually, the Web tells me that it's cloudy (it was sunny at 7 AM, when I first woke up, and the wind that's been blowing had faded to nothing), 51°F (crazy...coolest it's been in a LONG time), and that the wind's 28 mph gusting to 36 (bleh...they always underestimate the wind here, just as they do the temperature).

2. What time do you usually wake up?

Highly variable. Sometimes I won't sleep for days on end and sometimes I'll go to sleep after sunrise and wake up in the early afternoon. That was worse when I worked night but for the past few months I've worked mainly days, and tend to wake up somewhere around 9 AM no matter what time I go to sleep.

Today I woke up some time before 7 AM because some idiots decided to use a jackhammer on the parking lot at that time. I just woke up again at noon, after falling asleep again a couple of hours before.

3. How long do you spend away from the house on a daily basis or work/school?

These days I usually work four or rive hours and it wipes me out so effectively that it's fairly rare I spend much more time out (running errands, accompanying my work partner on bar/club/casino expeditions, etc) on a day when I work. Sometimes I'll work longer, but rarely more than six hours a day (the prep time takes a while, too).

4. How frequently do you get haircuts?

More than I used to, but still infrequently. My job requires fairly long hair, as did my wishes before I started doing this. Sometime early last year I started cutting my own hair and found it worked better for the Elvis thing than going to a professional.

5. Are you punctual?

Tend to be, but rarely early. Actually, my natural tendency is to be on time, but my wife was so chronically late to every single thing throughout our marriage (I seemed to spend most of our marriage waiting for her, and pacing, and waiting some more, and fretting about how late we were, and missing things, and then waiting for things again) that I got entrained in that and I am usually at least a few minutes late to things even now that I'm responsible for my own time again. At the very least, I do things at the last minute, but that's always been my way in many things...I seem to benefit from the pressure and adrenaline. :D
