I've got a handful of movies I'll watch whenever I run across them even if it was just a few weeks ago. Shoot, I saw "Casino Royale" two days ago and I want to see it again. DROOL!

19. What's wrong with me?
I'll tell you what's wrong with me - my stupid ex-girlfriend used to watch that and "Miss Congeniality" REPEATEDLY. She didn't just watch movies once, she immediately watched them again. I liked "Legally Blonde" - I even saw it in the theater by myself - but my GOD seeing it fifteen billion times made me hate it with a burning passion.

Consequently, if you want to torture me, play "Bridget Jones' Diary" in a continuous loop.

Rant over. :)

11. Not sure I can watch it as many times as I have watched "The Breakfast Club"
but it is one I stop and watch if it is on - and have watched a number of times. It is just fun (as was the Breakfast Club - only referd to that because it used to get played a lot on tv and I would always watch it, if it was on.)

24. Another one: Romy and Michelles High School Reunion...
can you turn it off - once it starts playing? Campy - but so much fun! Ironically that movie has a play on this very phenomanon - when the roomies keep watching Pretty Woman (which I don't think I could watch as many times as the movies discussed here - but still its a heads up.)

It's a very twisted take on the little red riding hood story, and she's amazing in it.

30. I found "Election" a wee bit disturbing.
Certainly worth watching - but probably because I have worked with teens for many years - I found some of the movie disturbing.

33. Which parts?
It really is an adult movie. I think it was about the complexity of the teacher's feelings for her...he was annoyed by her, he was resentful of her, he saw in her what he could have been had he made different choices (especially apparent at the end), he was sexually attracted to her...and he had no self-awareness or coping mechanisms when it came to dealing with his feelings for her. In that way I felt it was a very realistic film; probably because in high school and college I was always best friends with the girl that the teacher or professor was hitting on, that they should not have been.

36. all of that which you describe - but not from the student side
but from the adults working with the students side. First the friend's relationship with the student, and then later his mixed emotions including his recognition of his own attraction to the student.

As an adult who has spent many years working with teens, the idea that all of the males I work with might be harboring sexual feelings and motives towards the female teens we work with is distrubing. Is that realistic? That both his friend, and then later he has these feelings conveys that it is a common phenomenon not rare. That is what wsa disturbing for me.

37. the "don't stand so close to me" phenomenon, lol.
I think it's common. That is probably depressing but based on what my friends experienced and things I picked up on in high school, it's more common than people think. I just realized thinking about it that every teacher I can remember acting 'improperly' with my friends was also a coach. (a couple football coaches, a track coach, a coaching assistant). Really, really strange.
