Damn "fever blisters" (oral herpes).

I've had the damn things since I was a small child. In those days we didn't even know they were contagious (by "we", I mean my family).

I've had a bad one for about a week, and it's just about healed now. My wife and I have been together for nearly 30 years and she's never caught it. Pretty amazing.

We leave for Italy Thursday, so now I know I'll be able to kiss her in the Colosseum!

8. I hate it when I can't kiss my SO

If one of us has a cold or something, we do try to be careful and not pass it but it sucks. We kiss at least ten times a day, as we walk past each other or hellos and goodbyes - I had a nasty cough for 3 weeks back in January and it seemed like we were always leaning in and then remembering and jumping back.
