I have "THE COLD." Hack Hack Hack.
I barely slept last night and I feel like Hell. Two weeks into the new job, and I'm sick. Great. Now I get the choice of dragging ass through the day and looking like a slacker, or going home to bed and looking like a goldbricker.

Fooey.

1. Oh my. I hope that you feel better soon.
This thing that is going around is rough. I've had it and found that it doesn't matter what you do, it's going to take it's time and annoy the hell out of you for a week or two. You have my sympathies.

Have some chicken soup.

2. Slurp.
I had Progresso Chicken Noodle set aside with fruit and I forgot it at home.

Double Fooey.

3. You have my sympathies.
My advice is to rest. Rest, rest, rest. Early to bed and late to rise, if and when you can.

4. "IF" is an excellent discription.
I barely slept. It's "Cough and Cold Cognac" for me tonight.

I just said to my office mate and her trainer that I was sorry I sounded like a sewer, coughing and slurping. Cracked them up.

5. I slept sitting up for a couple nights because of the post-nasal drip.
Nyquil is your friend. Hang in there.

7. Nyquil is "Cough and Cold Cognac"
Contrary to "Purists" like Dennis Leary, I have to go with the "Red" instead of the "Green Death" flavor. I'm not into any self-flagelation when ill.

9. Ah. I do the red too, but am thinking of switching back.
It makes me gag every time I take it.

6. I can certainly commiserate.
No, I don't have a new job....but I do have THE COLD. I've had it now for over 10 days -- have been on an antibiotic since last Tuesday, and I am still not sleeping due to violent coughing spells.

The worst cold turned bronchitis that I've had in years.

I sure hope that you feel better lickety split.:hi:

8. LOVE the Skipperke
GREAT doggies. I'd go for one if we hadn't already committed to Pembroke Corgis.

You're not exactly raising my expectations for losing this crap soon, though.

11. Maybe your cold is of a different variety
The doctor wanted to put me on Zythromax, but it gives me an adverse reaction that I'm not willing to live with. I don't like going on antibiotics, but for this thing I definitely need something more than my own immune system. At this point, I think that what he prescribed is not doing the trick. I hate the idea of having to go back and go on something else. It will take me weeks to get my good bacteria back.

We have two Schipps and love them to pieces. Our female is so stinking smart -- I'll bet she has a vocabulary well over a hundred words. I like the Pembroke Corgis breed, too.
