The "Armadillo Appreciation Thread"


Time to join "The Benevolent Order of Armadillos."

'dillos are the only thing I actually miss from my 10 year "sentence" in Houston Texas.

1. Well I like the little bastards.
Did you know that since there bellies are vulnerable, one of their defense mechanisms is to simultaneously curl into a ball AND jump 2" straight up?

They usually do this on highways when a car is coming. Splat. OR through the grill and the radiator which is rather dramatic.

but I've never actually seen one in real life. I don't know that I've even seen one in a zoo either.
