13. yeah. I liked that about the movie. The characters lives are left incomplete
seems more real that way.

Every viewer probably writes their own imaginary ending. I would predict they'd continue to struggle with the same issues with some triumphs and some failures along the way.

21. Yes and Yes
And, both she and the movie deserved Oscar noms. Ryan Gosling got one at least.

11. Here I am, viewing your thread!
Since I haven't seen the film I won't comment on how shallow and simple-minded you are. :P I'll have to check out your movie for myself. :loveya:

16. I totally saw the "Crash" parallel - Syriana too.
I don't watch tons of movies so I may be easily caught up in those I do see. Also, sometimes certain ideas hit you with a force at one time in your life, when they'd go unremarked in another. I'm all about "why?" these days and Babel was asking the same questions. You know?

22. The scene in Act III where (spoilers)
She delivers drugs to the "ho party" at the motel is SEARING.

She looks at him, strung out and partying with a bunch of scuzzy strangers... but she has no moral high ground, because she's become a drug mule. Then looks that pass between them, his sad smile.... God.

23. yeah--that was for real and surreal
all at the same time...hard to get that across the screen but, they managed it without plying the sentimentality card:thumbsup:

got to agree that it was much more groundbreaking than babel could ever hope to be
