5. Dammit, you people just aren't hip...
 The pencil test is when you put a pencil under a certain female attribute, and if it stays, you fail the pencil test. If it falls out, you pass it.

does this have to do with the questions about testing people you would date?

10. Nope.
:P  It's a test some goober developed a long time ago to tell if a woman needed a bra or not. If she fails the pencil test, she needs one. I heard about this test when I was growing up in the early 70s, so it's a decidedly low-tech way to determine bra viability.

53. I'm a bit confused by what passing & failing means?
I had thought if the pencil drops, it means the woman's breast is too small to hold up the pencil? And, if it stays up, it means that the breast is large enough to hold the pencil?

Or, is it if the pencil drops, it means the breast is too perky to hold the pencil up, while if the pencils stays up, it means the breast is sagging over the pencil and holding it up?

I was horrified when they started growing, and even more when they grew so much so fast (let's just say, in 6 months I went from carpentry to skiing). And, no matter what my weight, preg/nursing or not, the fuckers stay the same. I'm only 5 feet tall, so I pretty much hit my top height at the same time. It was a lot of fun, what with having 5 asshole brothers to tease me. Good thing they taught me how to throw a punch!

I did not have a pencil, so I used a Papermate pen with blue ink and a standard-size barrel.
They can't hold a pen, but the messing around caused nippage. Do I get any points *snort!* for that?

:P I learned about the pencil test when I was about 8 years old in 1971 or so. At the time, it was all the rage to go braless. You know, burning bras and such. :) I think if you passed the test, you got to go braless. If you failed, you had to wear them. That's why failing the pencil test means having to wear a bra to me. Passing the test means you can go bra-free.

That's why there's so much confusion. :) It's because of when we learned about the test. I guess in the conservative 80s and 90s, failing = not having to wear a bra. That's conservativism for you.
