5. Whatever happened to the groups that used to go

and spray a permanent red dye on the baby seals so their coats were no longer worth anything? That stopped the hunters dead for a lot of years.

as long as the dye doesn't act to make things more difficult for them. I was under the impression that their coat color served as camouflage until they were able to swim.

Even so, I wonder if dying them white or grey wouldn't also make the pelts worthless...

GoddessOfGuinness had an explanation, because seals aren't yet endangered, but this is so brutal, the killing of innocent baby animals, that I can't believe that this is still going on. Stephen Harper said in his campaign that he was opposed to this and certainly most Canadians are. Thank you for working to stop this. I just can't believe that this is going to continue for another year, so I'm writing to anyone who I can and signing anything that I can. Keep up the good work. This is all that we can do.
