We have more sobriety checkpoints here anytime than anywhere else. But anyone would be INSANE to drive after even tasting it tonight. It will be club soda for me.

There are way too many cops in Asheville with no real crime to fight, so they harass motorists all the time. At some point it will cut into the city's economic boon from tourists, but until it does the cops are out of control. It is said that they have contests among themselves to see who can give out the most DUIs.

30. I have an excuse. I was with my MIL all day long...

:yoiks: We went to a bridal shower two hours away. I had to get up at 6 AM to get ready, then we drove the two hours there. She yakked nonstop the whole way. When we got to the bridal shower, I found other women to talk to (thank goodness!) and she cornered some poor woman there. She talked that woman's ear off. We spent time at her sister's house (the mother of the bride-to-be) afterward, where she yakked her sister's ear off. Then I had the pleasure of driving her two hours back while she yakked my ear off. :( We got home at 7:30 PM. By the time I walked in the door, I was ready to commit homicide. I had to drive because she's 78 and unable to drive, which is no problem for me, but I just wanted to tell her to stuff a sock in her pie hole....

Oh, and I did wear my green today. :D

34. I just got back from buying two 40LB dumbbell weights...

I thought about the modular system, but for logistical concerns (and shoulder/upper back areas) the solid state units were the better choice.

In time I'll buy the full bench and some 25LB discs for the barbell. Right now I'll suffice with the 50LB barbell and improve my mid- and lower-back...

I dig that bench I saw too. It has some cool lower leg exercises too - but I might just use my elliptical trainer and suffice with it...

I love the 'burn' feeling as I exercise and I hate having to do more reps to get there... but eventually.

I can't wait to be all big and muscley like those cats in the magazines I've bought; I wanna gets the chicks too, you know? :D
