Way to go!!

:toast:

edit: I took a semester of it and had an absolute blast learning about all the stuff in my courses, I got all A's but then I realized it just wasn't what I wanted to do. But I did find all of the subject matter very interesting and engaging. :hi:

6. Thanks, friend!

I love school, always have. I went for several semesters about 15 years back and did very well but my kids were small and my then husband was being a jerk and I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do with my life anyway.

I think this will be a good fit for me. :hi:

13. It's a two year program
Won't be easy - I plan on going full time as well as working full time. But since I have no kids at home, a flexible work schedule and a very supportive SO, I think I can manage it.

I'm so pumped about it that sheer adrenaline ought to get me through at least the first semester! :bounce:

My office would grind to a screeching halt without our paralegals - your work will be appreciated!

15. That's good to hear
I think it will be a good fit. Law has always interested me, I enjoy detail work and getting things right. I'm quick, efficient and good with people and words. And I learn and adapt fast to different people's styles and needs.

Thanks for the good wishes! :hi:

19. Congratulations, I wish you well.
The reason I said that i wished I could do that is that I was a legal secretary, then court reporter for 20 years and got burned out and left it. Then I was unemployed and had crappy jobs.
I went to night school while I was a court reporter and earned a Juris Doctor (law degree) at night, twenty years ago. I can also type about 115 on a computer, and grew up in a law office. I have a B.A. in biology which is real handy for medical testimony.

I can spell spondololysis, spondylolisthesis and spondylosis.

However, I looked for a paralegal job for over a year, recently, and got a grand total of ONE interview, because they say they want recent experience. So I gave up, and decided to sell my house and move to the country, because i can't make it in the big city, in spite of my years of experience.

The lawyers can go to hell as far as I'm concerned, if they don't see that I could be an asset.

I think it's age discrimination, and I'm calling it "early retirement".
