I have done so much stripping this week; my whole body hurts!
Wallpaper SUCKS!
Also, paneling SUCKS!

I am burning way more calories working on my house than going to the gym EVER does!

People who lived through the wood-paneled-wall era of decorating; was there some mass-psychosis going on at that time that resulted in putting that shit up seeming like a good idea?

:P

10. He's doing very well!
He went back to work last week and is handling it well, aside from getting really tired. He has to "think very hard," in order to get his hand to do what his brain is trying to tell it to. He's going in on Thursday for a sleep study, as they also noted in the hospital that his sleep apnea seems to have gotten pretty bad. Hopefully they can help him address that, and he'll feel even better! Thanks for asking!

2. I hear you! I am still sore from scoring on Saturday
stupid tile! lol

yeah, we have a room we call the "wood panel nightmare" and some other aesthetic nightmares in our "more fixer than upper" house. I've slowly been doing room by room, but the nightmare room is last on the list.

11. What kind of tile did you put in?
Our kitchen is on the dockett for this summer, and my husband's tentatively planning on replacing the crappy linoleum with ceramic tile. I'm sure it will be an adventure.

16. it's a lot of work but not too bad
we went with a 12" ceramic floor tile that has a rough stone look to it.

29. I'll post pics soon (I hope)
my goal is the end of the month, as we have some friends coming into town the last weekend.

I'm pretty "done" with it now though, although there's still a lot to do...

We moved him into a "big boy bed," and now he won't nap.

22. I just finished my kitchen...
Well, me and four other people just finished my kitchen. We had half-paneling/half-wallpaper. It took three weeks to get all the paper and glue from the paneling off. (It was vinyl paper, but not the "peelable" kind). The wallpaper borders are ungluing and just hanging there. I've been through two cans of paste. At this point, I don't care what the hell it looks like--I just want it done!

Don't scare me. I've got a half painted-paneling, half ugly-ass wallpaper kitchen, too...
