I have a pigeon problem.. Help !!
There's a pigeon who has taken up residence perched on the tippy top of the screen door. How he manages to perch up there, I cannot imagine, but every time we go to the door and open it he acts like an extra in "the Birds"...swoops right down .. He's not trying to attack us, just seems confused.

A few years ago our next door neighbors used to have homing pigeons..(the people moved) and until now we never saw any of his birds. I am thinking that this might be one of them who is returning here and seeing the coops are goone, he's decided that our front door is the next best thing..

Should I call animal control?

or get my video camera ready for the time he swoops INTO my house, and 6 cats careen throughout the house trying to catch him?

I cannot even imagine the destruction.. fur..feathers, bird shit, broken lamps, and dust bunnies will fill the air :)

I feel sorry for the bird, but I am not a "bird person" so I don;t have a clue about what I should do..

1. Put a bird feeder in your back yard, and he/she will probably hang out there...
...as long as you have food in it. They pick up the food droppings from the feeder.

However, if you kill the pigeon, you will be the first person - ever - in my history of the internets, to be put on ignore...:P

2. I would NEVER EVER kill an critter.. I even made a "pet" out of a wolf spider
because he was so much fun to watch..and he was a great fly catcher :)

3. Home Depot should have little strips of nails for keeping away birds.
I'm not sure how you would attach them to a screen door (hot glue?). But it cant be very hard.
