5. Waiter, summer of 95 at a fancy restaurant.
Nothing like waiting tables when you can sell a $100 bottle of wine on a $75 dinner. Fat tips.

19 years old at the time.

7. Any job or 'paying with a paper check' job?
I was being paid for babysitting and snow shoveling when I was 12.

My first job that actually cut me a check on paper was
working as a page at the local library at the age of 15.
I put books away! ;)

8. sounds familiar!
I too was babysitting when I was 11 or 12, and my first "real" job was working in the children's room of the town library, checking out books and reshelving them. I think I was 15 or 16 then.

15. i made a lot of money before i started "working" too...
shoveling snow, mowing lawns, raking leaves, stuff like that.

you don't see too many boys being considered for babysitting duty.

12. My first job was delivering newspapers at
age 13. I did that for about a year and a half. Trust me it was a JOB. I did it all on my own, the folding and the delivering. My mom didn't get up to help with the folding nor did she drive me around on the route. I walked the route every morning. HATED Wednesdays and Sundays because they had ads which made the papers heavier.
