:-)

"planet" is a big place, "voice" a broad definition

but yeah, nice linky, i'm listening to it now and it's two thumbs up

2. Rasha
I always post her though. This is a song of hers. Salib Fuadi is the song of hers that I love that of course is not on youtube.

Next to this, I think the second most beautiful voice I've ever heard would be Laura Love's version of "Wayfaring Stranger", that one makes all my hairs stand on end.

3. Michael Buble
Recently transferred from Italy back to the States, and his version of Frank Sinatra's "My Way" in Italian is incredible! He's from Canada, and is also an Italian citizen.

7. I am a Buble fan...BUT...I just got a Dean Martin CD and Dino
knocks Buble out of the park...Dino's version of Sway is just so much better to me...

I find that I prefer the originals...

38. I prefer Dean's "Sway" also, but I do like Buble's.
I listen to Dean Martin all the time (and when I say that, I do mean every day).

While I like Michael Buble, he's no Dean Martin. Dino's voice could melt butter.

9. Christopher Glenn -- CBS News
If you include non-singing voices, then I would nominate the late Christopher Glenn of CBS News.

I always enjoyed the sound of his voice.

Maria Muldar, Norah Jones, Marianne Price, Slim Whitman, Roy Orbison come to mind.

My mother bought me a Slim Whitman album back in the 70's as a joke and was disappointed when I liked it.

21. Uglier than Doug Kershaw
But the guy had some pipes. My mother also bought a copy from one of the album clubs and I would listen to it ALONE, I just couldn't believe someone that old and homely could hold it higher and cleaner than Orbison. If he'd changed his name, his material and never appeared in public he could have been a contender.

20. If you ever saw the movie
where Bruce Willis is sent to some planet and is protected by a beautiful redhead (it's a scifi), and during the movie another creature does an operatic aria that is wonderful! Who ever sang that song, that's the most lovely voice. How's that for being vague and unclear? :)

22. I know the scene you're talking about
I saw piece by the filmmakers who said that it was faked digitally. No human could have that range, physically impossible. It could have been someone singing and then was digitally manipulated to get that range, I'm not sure what they started with.

I think the movie was The 5th Element

39. The first time I ever heard "What A Crying Shame", I was listening to it for a music meeting
at the radio station I worked for.

I was so fascinated by Raul's voice that I took the CD home and listened to it in my headphones all night.
