From memory, post a line out of a book you loved as a child
Sidney's in a dreadful state. Unless he hurries, he'll be late. He's off to visit cousin Joe. There's so much to remember, though.

3. When the dark comes rising, six shall turn it back
Three from the Circle, three from the track
Wood, Bronze, Iron; Fire, Water, Stone
Five will return and one go alone

Iron for the birthday, Bronze carried long
Wood from the burning, Stone out of song
Fire in the candle-ring, Water from the thaw
Six Signs the Circle, and the Grail gone before

Fire on the mountain shall find the harp of gold
Played to wake the Sleepers, oldest of the old
Power from the Green Witch, lost beneath the sea
All shall find the Light at last, silver on the tree

18. "So grouped, the curtains as they fall upon
Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy."

Or, from the same book

"I hate affected niminy, piminy chits!"
"Birds in their little nests agree," sang Beth...

Or the first line of the book:

"Christmas won't be Christmas without any presents", grumbled Jo, lying on the rug.

Yes, I used to have the entire book nearly memorized. I read it that much as a child and cried every time.

21. Then...
they made O get up and were on the verge of untying her, probably in order to attach her to some pole or wall, when someone protested that he wanted to take her first, right there on the spot. So they made her kneel down again, this time with her bust on an ottoman, her hands still tied behind her, with her hips higher than her torso.
