The worst of them was The Hulk.

but freedom of speech doesn't apply to the Lord of the Rings. It was far too insanely good. It think criticism of it should be banned.

31. Too insanely good?
Lord of the Rigns is the biggest, shallowest tear-jerker ever that not even god-knows how many millions in computer magic could salvage.

Did you notice that the last - what was it, two hours (?) - of the third movie was nothing but characters going from scene to scene and crying? Not only does nothing happen, but the director does his damndest to get the audience emotional about it. I want my $11.00 back.

45. I agree
The last hour and a half of the third LOTR movie was garbage. It was nothing but sappy lines, dirty crying hobbits, and close ups of watery hobbit and elf eyes.

IT SUCKED! I want the 3 hours of my life I wasted on that trash returned to me at once!

12. I agree.
That movie sucked so bad that I didn't need to see it.

I had bought tickets to see Gigli, but on the way into the theater I noticed that the people who had seen the flick an hour earlier were being carried on stretchers to the hospital.

Most Disappointing:
Charlie's Angels 2
Legally Blonde 2
Tears of the Sun
28 Days Later
LOTR: ROTK

17. Of the listed choices
I had to choose Legally Blonde 2, because I was ready to bitch-slap Reese Witherspoon's character after the first 20 minutes. Damn, she was annoying.

Cat in the Hat came a close second.

Never saw Gigli, but I've heard it was awful.

38. Thirteen
Absolutely wretched. An overobvious, exploitational, and downright racist piece of dog shit which many people fell for as 'art.' Here's a hint: a digital video aesthetic, handheld camera, canted angles, and fast-paced editing do not necessarily make a good movie, especially when your script is as laughably earnest as this one.

I can't give this sort of prize to a movie like Gigli or From Justin to Kelly simply because those movies weren't trying to be 'important.'

39. I actually liked the Hulk
Y'know, I can totally understand how people expecting to see another popcorn superhero flick along the lines of "Spider-Man" would be disappointed by the "Hulk," but I rather liked it. It's a superhero movie for the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" crowd. Which creates a kind of cognitive dissonance since superhero movies should be enjoyable by the kids who make up a good part of the comics' audience. Not to say the movie was perfect, and certainly not one of the year's top ten movies, but it was definitely OK.

and extremely boring at that. Your really stretching it trying to label the Hulk on par with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. In CTHD I actually cared what happened in the movie. In the Hulk I stopped caring sometime after the opening credits. Lame ass movie.

Trite, insulting to the intelligence, and pretentious. It's like painting a red dot on canvas and calling it "Art". No it's not! It's the flag of Japan!:eyes:

PT Anderson is the most pompous windbag in Hollywood today. Why can't he have a freebasing overdose?

43. Was Madonna's "Swept Away" a 2003 movie? If so, THAT was the worst movie
of 2003.

A law should be passed that would ban this woman from making any more movies. "Swept Away" was THE worst movie Madonna has ever made...and that's really saying something.
