3. Chipmunks
are cuter and generally less psychotic than squirrels (at least, less psychotic than most of the squirrels I have to deal with on a daily basis).

10. A chipmunk turned on me last spring.
I was saving it from my cat's clutches, and after I pulled it from the cat it sunk it's very large bottom fangs deep into my thumb. So deep that I had to extract them by gripping said chipmunk by the cheeks to pull out the teeth. It was traumatizing to say the least. It didn't end there, because I was left with two very deep punctures, which I had to open up and pour peroxide into. Then of course I had to go onto "the google" to find out what my fate would be. I was instructed (from the google) to get a tetanus shot, so I had to call my doctor and run into his office. Not good, as we were packed for a Memorial Day weekend trip to Pa for daughters national volleyball tournament, and this caused a 4 hour delay with our departure.

In conclusion, there must be something bad in that saliva, because that puncture wound took four months to finally heal. My thumb was numb, itched, and then pealed pretty much all summer.

Oh, about the fate of the chipmunk. While I was preoccupied with the deep bite, my cat hunted down the chipmunk and I found it decapitated by our gold fish pond.

I picked flying squirrels.

These guys are cute. And they move so fast you don't even know what it is when you see it. (looks reptile-ish when it moves)
