Flirting, beckoning, dancing away?

The music seized me

And it carries me away…

Your eyes follow me across the room

As I dance away


With your heart……

Until my husband came along, of course!

I only walked away from one....and he wanted me to leave.....and return later........

But when he returned, I was in love with my husband, and it was too late ...

But why did you decide on using past tense on the line 'The music seized me' when everything else is written in present tense? For me, it somewhat goes against the flow of it, but perhaps it's just me. :hi:
