Pro wrestler Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow has passed away.
WWE.com has learned that former WWE Superstar Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow was found dead in his home early this morning in Pasco County, Fla.

"We can confirm that Scott Bigelow was found in his home this morning. At this time the cause of death is unknown," Kevin Doll told WWE.com.

Doll also confirmed that the Pasco-Pinellas Counties medical examiner has taken the body and an autopsy will be performed.

Bigelow, 45, worked for WWE, ECW and WCW extensively throughout his 20-year sports-entertainment career. A former ECW Champion, ECW Television Champion and WCW Tag Team Champion, he is perhaps best known for his rivalry with Lawrence Taylor that culminated in the main event of WrestleMania XI in 1995.

3. RIP
During that Wrestlemania match against Lawrence Taylor, Bigelow made LT look like a million bucks. It's a nearly impossible task for any wrestler to compete against a non-wrestler, during the "Super Bowl" of pro wrestling, and make the non-wrestler legitimately look good.

Bigelow had a small role in the movie Major Payne.

There is a wrestling/obituary website called Wrestle in Peace, although I haven't looked at it in awhile.

4. RIP Bam Bam Bigelow
Bigelow was an amazing athlete for a man his size and had some incredible matches throughout his career. It makes me sad that so many wrestlers have been dying at such an early age.

5. Dammit!
He had some great runs in the WWF; he was never a techincal wrestler w/ an impressive moveset but he knew how to brawl and work the mic.

RIP Bam Bam..

11. This is a legitimate question.
My husband watches wrestling every Friday night and there's something I've always wondered about. What is it you see in wrestling? (I mean WWF) Why do you like it? Please be specific because my sanity depends on it.

12. For me
what I watch it for is the drama, and seeing people talk crap to one another, and beat the crap outta one another. I think its funny/crazy at the same time. I can't explain it...I'm sure you got a show, that you like that your husband shakes his head about. For my wife its Flavor of Love...I have no idea why my wife likes that show, I think its...to be kind, not for me. Its give and take. My wife says she likes the show because she likes seeing the women fight over, a man who is utterly...in her opinion, not that great.

14. Besides the fact that lots of guys like watching guys beat each other up,
with the crazy storylines, it's like a soap opera for men, IMHO.

15. It's an addiction!
Even when the storylines are awful, I still find myself following it. However, I sometimes enjoy the wrestling radio shows more than the actual shows because of all of the crazy stuff going on behind the scenes. Of course, if you want to know what pro wrestling would look like if it were real, you can watch MMA (mixed martial arts), which is in my opinion the greatest sport in the world and the only sport that I follow! UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) is the most well-known MMA organization in the US, even though there are many others here and around the world.

17. Like Pride Fighting in Japan
Heck I love watching Japan Pro Wrestling when I can get my hands on it. . .

Bam Bam spent some good time and apparently did quite well in Japan for himself . . .

I will always remember Bigelow throwing Spike Dudley into the crowd during an ECW show . (With Spike ending up crowd surfing) . . Bam Bam at times I don't think got the full credit he deserved for his talent. I mean he dragged Lawrence Taylor to a passable Wrestlemania Main Event for crying out loud.

18. I saw both of those PPVs
The group I was watching with absolutely loved the Bigelow-Spike crowdsurfing spot! I remember when Bam Bam and Lawrence Taylor were guests together on the Howard Stern show to promote the match. Stern took one look at Bigelow and told Taylor, "L.T., you're gonna get your ass kicked! You better hope the fix is in!"
