2. Syd Straw kissed me on the cheek
We spent a few hours hanging out during a mutual friend's wedding. I haven't seen her since but it was something I had dreaming about since seeing her in concert a few years earlier.

of the country group Alabama several years ago. We were late leaving the arena after a concert and they were all hanging around. We went up to talk to them and I got the biggest hug and a kiss. It was pretty cool.

walked into a bar and was pretty well lit. A great looking lady walked over and played tonsil hockey with me for what seemed like forever.

Did it change my life? No

She walked off and she was gone.

Stuff like that has never happened when I was sober. What's the deal?

14. Sounds like something that happened to one of my friends.
We were all sitting at a table in a bar and a good-looking guy sat down next to her. She turned to him, and they started kissing passionately, while we stared. After a few minutes he got up and left. We asked, "Who was that?" She said, "I don't know. But he was a good kisser."

except I was standing there and not sitting. My friends were all just looking at us (I guess) we were all pretty wasted. After they were like, who was that? "I have no idea", I was just like, wow!. She was a good kisser as I recall, I do remember that!

And I have no idea who she was, or where she went. This was a bar that I practically lived at in college, and I'd never seen her before

36. There's something about the college bar scene that makes things
like that possible. She may have just needed a good kiss (the likely explanation), or she might have been dared to kiss three guys before leaving. (Not that I've ever heard of anyone doing that, just throwing it out there as a possibility.) :yoiks:

By my mother. She is not the warmest or most tactile person on earth, but when I went away to university she kissed me and hugged me so hard that I was dazed. That was really the only time she was so demonstrative with her affection. I still remember the date. August 18, 1979. It meant so much to me.

18. Sure, but it didn't change my life.
It wasn't as if I was the first; and I was certain I wouldn't be the last. He was one of those guys who made a contest out of seeing how many girls he could get to fall for him. Then he'd drop them like a piece of trash once they did.

I didn't fall for him; but for some reason I felt a kinship with him. Maybe it was because I'd done my share of jerking hearts around at one point in my life. So we were friends for a while. Then he stopped returning calls, and I got tired of doing all the work.

Too bad for him.

My best friend's fiance grabbed me & kissed me in the kitchen of her house!
His timing was worse than the kiss, which was bad, so I couldn't tell her for a few weeks. It was horrible to keep it from her because we usually talked about everything.

I'm so glad she didn't marry him. I would hate for my best friend to be stuck with a bad kisser. She agrees with that, now that she's been kissed better & knows the difference.

It was hard to keep it under wraps for a few weeks.

Her father had just died & I just couldn't add more hurt to her heart at that time. So I waited a few weeks, at time when anger helped over shadow the hurt, if that makes sense.

20. Why yes, and the kisser got a bigger surprise.
When I was around 15, my best friend's little brother (age 11) had a huge crush on me. One day I was sitting in their living room waiting for my friend and her brother walked over to me and planted a wet one on my lips. My immediate reaction was to kick up while pushing him back. That was the day I learned what happens to boys when they take a hit in the groin. I felt badly about reducing the child to a poor sobbing heap on the floor, but he never tried to kiss me again.

So in this case, I would say it changed his life more than it changed mine.

I bartended for about 8 years and after he bar closed, there were a few guys hanging around while I cleaned and counted. When I went to open the door for this really drunk and very annoying patron, he grab me face and tried to stick his tongue down my throat. I pushed him away, told him to f*** off, and grabbed the nearest bottle to sanitize my mouth. Words can't describe how that made me feel.

63. It was really kinda weird too...
a bit of back story:
Back in August, my friend was visiting her relatives in NY state, when she took ill. The doctor didn't want her to fly home, she couldn't drive herself (she's blind). She called me and asked if I could drive to New City, NY to pick her up. 10 1/2 hours each way. I picked her up at her parents' house and drove home the next morning.

Fast forward to last week.

Her parents came to Toledo to visit her for the weekend. When I took her over to the motel where they were, her mom hugged me and thanked me again for making that long trip to pick her up.

When I told her later that her mom hugged me, she said that her mom doesn't warm up quickly to people, so I must have made quite an impression on her.

57. I Love You, You Said
Yes, I've had such a kiss.

Once, and ONLY once.

(Te Quiero Dijiste)

"I love you," you said
Taking my hands
Into your little hands
Of white ivory
And I felt in my chest
A heavy pang
Then a sigh
And next the spark
Of a feverish kiss

Pretty little doll
Of golden hair
Your teeth of pearls
Ruby lips
Tell me if you still love me
As I love you
If you remember me
As I do you

Sometimes I hear
A divine echo
Enveloped in the wind
It seems to say
Yes, I still love you
So very much
As much as then
Until I die

And Linda Ronstadt does a fantastic job singing it.

65. 8th grade, Suzie asked me to come over and help her study for the math test
I went.

Suzie was a pretty blond girl. We (the guys) used to tease her because she "blossomed" quite early.

2 minutes into the study session she kissed. It was my first ever kiss.

I was a natural and we kissed without coming up for air for like 10 minutes.

I suddenly became embarassed and panicked. I ran out of the house.

I'll just bet you were embarassed! An 8th grade boy? Oh yeah....

Great story, though!

67. 25 years ago returning to college in the fall
A nice girl I knew but never actually dated ran up to me near the student center and planted one on me. And mostly because of that I've thought about her every once in a while ever since. And I wonder if she ever thinks of me. What a fun way to achieve a bit of posterity.

68. Nope...but I've suprised a hell of a lot of people myself though.

And I've never, EVER regretted any of em.

Edit: Quick story. My current girlfriend was just a friend once upon a time. We used to hang out and watch tv and movies, or go out together with other people, but nothing came of it. At one point, after deciding that I wanted to go out with with her, and convincing her subtly that she was attracted to me (lol), I asked her out. She said no, but she was hesitant. My instincts are hardly ever wrong, so I was dumbfounded. I wasn't going to give up.

I invited her to watch a movie a week or so later. I was sitting beside her at one point, and I just sprung one on her. She went crazy on me (in a good way)...i.e. she started kissing me back very aggressively.

We've been together for almost 3 years.

Now yours is the story I thought I'd see more of tonight!

I could be wrong, but my impression is that more guys surprise the ladies than the other way around.......

But not in this thread!

Congrats on the three years ......so far!

And it's a fantastic story, too! :hi:

69. I was in college, working at my part-time job...
This really cute guy one day (it was a Saturday and not many people were around) suddenly came in to where I was sitting and kissed me deeply. We dated for a time. It did not work out. But it was good while it lasted.

I read a few years ago that he had died.

79. Yes
When I finally received my first kiss (Took me only 18 years of my life) . . and it was the start of my first and so far only relationship with someone.

I was less than smooth with my first comment after the kiss

"Well, that never happened before" . . .

luckily for me at the time. . she laughed at it.

80. Like you, I was, once, long ago...
and it did change my life. I uprooted myself and followed him across the several state lines.

It didn't work out with him but it put me in a place to experience the rest of the things that have subsequently shaped the life I live now.

That kiss. Wow.

He was one of those whole soul kissers, starting with those little breath-meets-breath moments that progress ever so slowly and deliciously into electric lip-to-lip brushings that zip along your nerves and get you *right there*. The full liplocks that followed were the kind that weaken your knees right along with your reason. And once you passed into the all out smoochalicious *kissing* kissing, there was really no holding back.

I think I better change the subject, but thanks for the trip down memory lane.
