14. The weather was quite warm early
in the season, along with the rain. The latter part, fall temps came to visit. I missed the really cold weekend they had, high temps in the 40's.

8. I see Twig the Fairy makes the rounds
She's at the MN Renaissance Festival, too. Don't tell her you don't believe in fairies, though --

Do you get Puke 'n Snot, too?

10. You don't believe in fairies?
Shocking!

If you don't believe in fairies, you can't see them. :D

Puke 'n' Snot don't come to NC, but I've heard a lot about them.

17. I never said I don't believe in fairies!
I believe in Puke 'n Snot, too! Maybe someday you'll be able to enjoy the wonder, the magic, of Puke 'n Snot...

9. Sorry we missed it this/last year!
I hope we can hook up with you for this (2007) years festival--we always go; but were broke as hell this past time.
Looks like a blast!
We live in Jamestown....

12. In the 24th Century
where they belong. :P

Star Trek and other scifi costumes are pretty rare at renfests, although I've seen the occasional Klingon or Jedi Knight.

13. Was it cool enough to wear armor?
Normally, I'd assume so, but with the screwy weather this year...

I'm in Florida. Most of the faires here are late spring, by which time it's already gotten too hot. 80 degrees or more is asking for heatstroke if you wear anything heavier than a bishop's mantle (maille).

15. NC renfest is in the fall
and some of the days were cool enough for armor, though most were warm or crisp cool. There were a couple of Knights Templar walking around. I don't think I have pictures of them.
