Siamese, but I think she looks like a ferret. Real easy-going kitten, this one.

Here's what Cleo thinks:


She's off sulking somewhere; she'll come around.

She gets her nose out of joint for the smallest thing, but underneath, she's a sweetheart. She's just very defensive, she's ripped new ones in a couple of intruders. She's very strong and fast.

8. It's Amber who'll do that

Nicki, Cleo, Amber

Nicki is taking this in her usual curmudgeonly fashion, Cleo's in her special hiding place right now, Amber and Sakura are scared of each other. Amber is four, but she never grew up; she's very small, and behaves like a kitten.

We sleep well, the cats spend the nights in the basement with the door closed. They get some tuna every night at bed time, so they're fine with it.

Yeah, Ukie Xmas present. I knew there was some way to justify this. We go into Petland for fish gravel, and BAM!!!

She's fast asleep on me, and I need to go to bed! Cleo's just being a schmuck, she'll come around. She won't hurt her, I know that. Nicki is being rather blase, actually, Sakura is scared of her (she's big). Amber doesn't know what to think, she's never seen a kitten, but within a couple of days they'll be tearing the place up.

19. Once you get started, it's hard to stop

There's about four years between each cat, so natural succession will take over soon.

Orange Cat, that's cute. When I was a kid, the neighbors had two big fuzzy cats, one black, one grey. Black Cat and Grey Cat.
Later they had a Manx named De-tail. What a crazy cat that one was.

20. This morning's exciting update

Sakura and Nicki (the oldest, wisest, and fattest) touched noses this morning. One down, two to go. Cleo continues to sulk, and Amber and Sakura are still afraid of each other.
