One misconstrued a post of mine and sent me a hysterical PM telling me to blow him. One flew off the handle and started putting words into my mouth, and a third went equally hysterical. I don't ignore for disagreements, but when a person crosses over into hypersensitive asshole I just put them on ignore. After all, if they get that way with me it isn't likely that I'll be interested in what they say elsewhere, DU is full of posters, and life is too short.

I don't get the equation that having no one on ignore confers a mantle of superiority or virtue. Where does this idea come from?

I am pro-environment, and I have to keep my habitat clean, and that means ridding it of toxic people, spam, and idiocy. For aesthetic reasons, I like to keep things clutter-free as much as possible.

It's irrelevant whether anyone uses their ignore list or not. It's a personal choice and not a barometer of morality or self-control.
