ok
The Dark Knight, also known as Batman aka Bruce Wayne kicked Superman's ass with the help of the Green Arrow, in that particular comic. In this comic, Batman, and the rest of the heroes were about 30 yrs older than they are right now....

Superman was a pawn of then, Ronald Reagan, and helped the USA destroy the USSR via the confrontation of Corto Maltese(which is mentioned during Batman, aka TB version).....

Superman..is a pawn, as I previously mentioned, and through some great planning and strategical manipulation, the Batman and Green Arrow combine their efforts, to bring down the Blue Boy Scout....

This comic/graphic novel, is by far, my favorite....The Dark Knight Returns i s the name of the novel/graphic, and Frank Miller....created this ....he also created Sin City(the movie/comic).....but Big Blue is still my number 1

I want to say in....during the Max Fleisher years he got the power of flight....he got those powers, to overcome some writing snafu's...to essentially...make writing his stories, easier.

on edit, early 50's, he was given the gift of flight...

21. Other villain
I'm tired of Lex Luthor. Zod's already been in a movie. What other villains do you think would be goo in a Superman movie. Are there good ones besides Darkseid that match his strength?

Or maybe a villain with a super power that slaps an IRS audit on the victim. Nobody survives one of them.

26. Braniac
I looked him up on wikipedia, since my only knowledge of him was from the Superfriends. Seems like a combination of Kang, Moondragon, and the Supreme Intelligence. There's a lot they could do with him.

25. How can Superman get a haircut?
In "Superman Returns", his EYEBALL can stop a bullet...presumably, his hair is more powerful than ordinary Earth scissors. Did Jor-El include a pair of Krypton scissors with his kid when he sent him to Earth?

27. In the comic books, he handled the shave and haircut...
by focusing his high-intensity heat vision on a reflective piece of metal from his infant spacecraft (remember, anything from Krypton shares Superman's toughness) and essentially burning his hair and beard off.
