Chex Mix. I want to make some tonight.
But I want to add in some extra stuff.

I'm already using the three types of Chex, plus:

Spanish peanuts
Pretzel sticks
Goldfish
Oyster crackers
Melba toast

Anyone have any idea of some other stuff I can put in, or is that enough variety? I love pecans--thought about putting some of that in there, too.

And is the recipe on the back of the Chex cereal box the best recipe, or are there better ones available? (If you have a recipe you don't mind sharing, please post it!)

1. Add some tabasco to taste
I think the pecans would be a good addition. I would also think about adding pistachios, but that is just me.

2. OK...I'll add the pecans.
My mom has a ton of them in her freezer. So not only free, but also delish. :D

And I'll add some tobasco.

I'm already starting to salivate. I love Chex mix! :D

6. I always increase the worcestershire sauce and butter....
....because I like those chex to be good & saturated. It also means you have to watch it really closely and stir often, because it's way more likely to burn that way. But it's GOOD.

7. Pecans would be great, but up North here they cost the moon. Your recipe sounds
great, but it's making me hungry. Jeez, if you're gonna post stuff like this, you ought to at least mail me half a pound of the result!

8. I love the original recipe, but there are tons of other ones...
http://www.chex.com/

I leave out the bagel chips in the original recipe and add extra pretzels and nuts. Bagel chips are delicious, but no good for my teeth.
