Christmas Eve...

As I have tried to sleep, but my mouth is dry, I can't get comfortable, and too many other things I'd rather not talk about...

2. I am tired but I have change back to my normal sleeping hours.

I start back to work next week and I work nights so I must stay up.

Me, I don't have a good reason like that. My brain is just being stupid. My body will exact revenge tomorrow, and in spades, too. Stupid brain never learns, though.

4. Oy, I understand that very well.

For years and years, my body has nagged me to go to sleep, my brain follows closely behind, and yet there is this really stupid part of me that just HAS TO stay up!

I think it is a leftover from my growing up years -- for several reasons, I had to maintain vigilance. Makes for a really crappy sleep schedule. x(

I had a housemate once (who is still a great friend). We used to sit on the floor in my room, and long after our bodies had shut down and our brains had turned to mush, our mouths would still be going "blah blah blah blah blah!!!"

Add you to the mix and, WOW! None of us would ever get any sleep!
