What the heck is this cold white stuff falling from the sky
Woke up this morning and there was seven freaking inches of snow on the ground. Now bear in mind that in Eugene, Oregon we're used to wet stuff falling from the sky ... liquid sunshine we call it ... but not this stuff they call ... s n o w.

Downed trees, stuck cars, blackouts, snowboarders down our street were the norm.

Happy New Year all you DUers!

11. It was 53 degrees here today. Where is all the snow?
I never remember winters being this warm when I was a kid, and I have lived in the midwest my whole life. It's supposed to get cold next week and it's about damn time!

12. Box some up
Send it my way. Could use a little here.

As is usual, I'm in disagreeance with my neighbors. 68 degrees in late Dec. and early Jan. is just plain wrong. I spent a lot of money on a nice, very warm winter coat, I want to use it dammit! Plus, I haven't gone sledding in years.
