Let's just say Hillary runs and wins...
And let's just say she's a two-termer.

That would make 28 years of the presidency being held by just two families. Would America go for that?

3. You see, that's why democracy is better than monarchy.
With democracy, your leader doesn't get their position just by being in the right family. :)

7. Don't we have to drink the soy milk first, get gay, and then eat the cupcakes?

16. If you're over 46, there's been a Clinton or a Bush running in every
Presidential election you've ever voted in.

But, yeah, we're still living in a democracy...

19. You must mean under 46.
:)

I'm 40 and voted in my first presidential election in 1984, so all of my presidential elections have included a Clinton or a Bush on the ticket.

28. D'oh!
So busy double-checking my math, I forgot simple diction...

That figure still kind of boggles my mind though. We're merely one tiny step away from monarchy.

27. How long would
a Kennedy have held the office, if 2 weren't killed and 1 didn't drive off a bridge?

There was a Roosevelt in the office for quite a few years.

29. Teddy Roosevelt served from 1901 to 1909. It was a good many years
before FDR took office, and he served from 1933 until his death in 1945 - about as long as the Reagan/Bush Bush years from 1981 to 1993.

32. The Kennedys could have been a presidential dynasty.
Certainly, the family patriarch would have liked it that way.

I'm not sure Ted would have had much of a chance after John and Bobby, though - who knows. It may have turned out so differently.

The Kennedys still hold a mystique for many Americans that will probably never go away. Some cultural historians view JFK's assassination as the collective "loss of innocence" for Americans.
