Poll question: Are you now or have you ever been a vegetarian?
Don't worry - you won't be blacklisted.

2. Depends on where you count mother's milk
First few months of life, it was milk, grain and veggies...

Teeth were a wonderful development :D

7. I was allergic to my mother's milk,
so I had to drink Soyalac. I've been vegetarian most of my life.

8. I am so old, soy wasn't around in these parts when I was a pup
Hell, if mom's milk hadn't worked, they would have trotted in a she-wolf and told Romulus and Remus to move over.

27. Mmmmmm...raw steak....
The s.o.'s finally decided that beef tataki once every couple of weeks isn't going to kill anyone. I've liked my beef still mooing since I was 3 or 4 years old.

I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat veggies.

4. I was a vegetarian for most of my college years,
and then fell from grace when I came home one weekend and found that my mother had made breaded pork chops for dinner. :9

17. Similar to what happened to me
was a veggie when I lived in California back in the hippie days.

When I came home a year later, it was mom's meatballs that got me.

I found, at least for me, that it was too hard to eliminate all animal by products as well as the meat...

The evegangelists will punish you for your doctrinal heresy! As high-IQ liberals, we are required to shun meat! :o

I think some babyback ribs are in order today for myself... :9

19. my son would agree with you, ZW!
he loves ribs.

i raised him as vegetarian, and he was until about a yr ago when he decided he wanted to eat meat.

it was an educated choice and it was HIS to make and i had to respect it.

it is a balancing act for me at times,
and expensive too, because i buy organic and humanely treated chicken and beef, but we make it work.

16. I like food too much to be a vegetarian....
Besides, most of the animals I eat are vegetarians, which makes me a proxy vegetarian anyway....

20. Vegan 6 years... veggie since 1989...
It was the perfect choice for me. I couldn't be happier.

And you can feel free to blacklist me. I assume that means I won't get invited to an annual "carnivores are cool" BBQ cookout. I can live with that. :)

25. I'm a "somedays" vegetarian.
I only eat meat two or three times a week. I have noticed though, that on the days I don't eat meat, I feel better. I seem to have more energy during the day and I sleep better that night.
