Some of the gentlemen on the Fourteenth Street Bus seemed to have had eyes for me, though Ivy Rorscach hadn't seemed to be up to giving me the time of day had I asked.

I'm kinda partial to the beagle I'm second mother to my sister's. Seems like I'm keeping her every weekend including tonight. She's part basset hound. They had to put a barking collar on her though...if you haven't experienced the hound dog bark yet, it can be very irritating to the neighbors. The collar works well and is harmless.

We lost power for about 10 hours. Went off at 9:30 last night (I heard the transformer blow), but was back on at 7:00 this morning. We are much more fortunate than so many others in the state, and in Oregon too. My MIL and FIL lost power; doubt it is back on yet (they live in Ocean Shores, WA), and my daughter's future MIL and FIL lost power, and won't get it back for at least 5 days!

Ya know, I think women have this innate ability to take good self-pics.

My daughter can make herself look like a supermodel when she's most often seen in sweat pants and a t-shirt that's almost as old as she is (since she stole it from me) with her hair flying around like she's crazed person. Out comes the camera: Supermodel Time.

Around my neck: a chain of 33 skulls, attached along the breastbone to a succubus and "Danzig" (90's heavy metal band) logo. Put there in 1991 by John Rainey Jr (same guy who did all the tat work for the guys in Morbid Angel and Warrant in that same era)

right arm: reproduction of James O'Barr's "Crow" painting titled "Just Like Heaven". Acquired 1992, also by John Rainey Jr.

left arm: reproduction of a character painting from Yoshitaka Amano's "Vampire Hunter D". Done as a birthday present in 1994, by Michael Tisdale, as one of his first pieces while he apprenticed with Rainey.

most of the folks i know in the business charge a flat fee for 'flash' designs (like the stuff you see on the walls), and charge by time for larger or custom pieces.

all of mine took 8 to 9 hours to finish...
