| CONFESS!!!! Who was your FIRST celebrity crush |
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 12:13 PM by LynneSin
I would have to say it was a tie between Engelbert Humperdinck, Tony Orlando and Davy Jones of the Monkeys. I'm guessing at some point my mother dropped me on my noggin. Mind you this was all within the 6-8 year range!

The earliest one I can remember is Brett Hudson. |

| 1. The earliest one I can remember is Brett Hudson. |
| 2. Is that the one who was Kate Hudson's dad or the other one |
I remember watching the Hudson Brother variety show way back when!
| 6. Bill is Kate's dad. Brett was the youngest - the cutest! Mark was in the middle. |
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 12:17 PM by Left Is Write
Here's Brett:
| 3. I remember liking Tom Jones and watching the Tom Jones Show when |
I was about five or six. After that it was Donny Osmond...whoa babyi! Crushed on hm big time.
| 21. Tom Jones was mine LOL |
I remember his TV show; I used to sing "What's Up, Pussycat" all the time. God, I'm old.
And you call yourself a lesbian - ew!
| 13. I was in elementary school! |
Jesus Christ, cut me some slack.
| 19. You are SO MEAN to me. |
I'm going to have LostinVA kick your ass for me. She'll do it.
| 20. I'll bribe her with tastytakes - still some pumpkin pie in the stores |
| 22. Whatever. I'm better than a pumpkin pie Tastykake. |
| 23. Perhaps we should ask LostinVa which she would prefer |
You or Pumpkin Pie Tastykakes
| 28. Okay, here's my answer to that question |
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 12:35 PM by LostinVA
I would way rather have Haruka, but you're right: Jordan from New Kids? EWWWW!
| 29. Who was your first crush? |
| 32. I answered downthread -- Pamela Sue Martin on the Nancy Drew show |
| 33. I also liked Luke Perry and Jason Priestly on 90210. |
Is that any better? And I'm way better than a Tastykake.
| 39. I did. I watched every season |
| 24. Okay, I have to agree with Lynne on this one |
| 26. But which would you prefer - Haruka or Tastykake Pumpkin pies |
we're waiting for an answer
| 74. What about Haruka covered with Tastykake pumpkin pie filling |
I was going to write that EXACT thing, but was afraid I'd be deleted.
That would be the best thing ever.
| 77. I would really have to agree. It would be the best thing ever. |
I loved him too but now, after seeing him on Surreal Life I think he's an ass.
| 79. I've never seen the Surreal Life, plus I'm gay, so he holds no interest now. |
The only man for me is Johnny Depp.
| 114. You would have to fight me |
| 189. Was he a MAJOR tool on there or what? |
| 199. SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP! YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON K-FED!!!! |
| 206. OH NO YOU DIDN'T!!!! |
| 207. UH-UH DON'T YOU GO THERE!!! |
Hey, sorry I missed out on seeing you at the meetup. I was busy complaining about my hangover to LostinVA.
| 209. Yep. My head has finally calmed down from a heavy pounding to a dull throb. |
It's only taken five bottles of water.
| 225. OMG -- does he really??? |
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
He's a sicko. The bad kind.
| 231. K-Fed AND Rachael Ray |
| 232. He's gone absolutely mad. |
They shoot mad dogs, you know.
Let's just say I watched too much Dukes of Hazzard when I was little.
| 185. Let's go skinny dippin Luke! |
That shot of them skinny dippin' that was part of the opening was too much. Bo was hotter than a moonshine maker about to boil over.
| 200. Had the hotts for Boss Hogg, didya? |

| Anyone old enough to remember the Keane Brothers? |
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 12:25 PM by BarenakedLady
http://www.keanebrothers.com / I was in love with Tom Oh how could I forget Jimmy McNichol!
| 172. Keane Brothers? Hell, yeah! |
I used to interview their father by phone, for a fan-newsletter I did about them! My favorite was John: "It's truuuuuuuue!"
They still look pretty decent.
| 181. Damn, I haven't heard that name in ages |
Mrs E has/had a huge crush on Tony DeFranco of The DeFranco Family; wern't they in the same time range?
| 7. I think I've told you before... |
Julie Newmar.
*swoon*
*klunk*
| 18. She is so statuesque! |
Line from a movie. If you saw it, you know what I mean.
LOL! As fate would have it for a couple of years when I was in college I lived on "Newmar St.". I smiled every time I walked by that sign. BUT... Then I discovered SOPHIA!!!
| 8. This is screaming mid-1980's, but... |
Don Johnson and Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee).
| 9. David McCallum as Illya Kuryakin. |

I had so much Man From UNCLE stuff, wish I still had it.
I still have my UNCLE playing cards and gun.
| 115. Cool! I still think it's a great TV show — so much style! NT |
Still one of my favorites.
| 12. First was Bobby Sherman, biggest was Ryan O'Neal or Robert Conrad. |
| 109. Oh... my..... God..Ryan O'Neil in Love Story! |
| 127. Or in What's Up Doc. |
| 198. David Cassidy. *sigh* |
(That was a teenybopper sigh!) I had David Cassidy posters everywhere there was space in my bedroom. I planned to marry him when I was 14.
| 227. my mother had a major crush on him too |
we'd all sit round watching and she made out like we were spending family time but in reality she'd be SPELL BOUND and totally neglect us for the duration of the show. she still gets wistful when we bring it up
| 16. Jason Priestly of 90210 |
| 17. One of the Hilton girls, and Pamela! |
That would be Kim Richards (Paris Hilton's aunt) from "Escape to Witch Mountain," and Pamela Sue Martin, from "The Nancy Drew Mysteries."
| 31. Pamela Sue Martin -- the Nancy Drew show |
And this was the picture that did it:
| 41. And I said Jimmy McNichol... |
| 43. I know. The two of them had to be about the cutest damn thing ever. |
When they would walk in a room together, people eating fudge would put it down because it just didn't seem as sweet when Kristy and Jimmy were around.
| 174. I bought Kristy & Jimmy's album when it came out |
I still have it today, complete with the poster that came inside!
| 49. Yep, I had a copy of that issue |
in my room for a long time. Note: never would have occured to search the internet for that jpg. wow.
That my obsession continues today? Ridiculous.
| 61. Besides, I uh, only read Dynamite for the articles. |
| 52. She's become even more attractive over the years... |
| 131. I find that hard to believe |
she turned 40 the same year I did and there was a magazine with stories about all the celebrities turning 40 in 2002. She was pictured in it and she looked totally middle aged.
| 166. Nothin' wrong with middle-aged. n/t |
| 167. Don't know how old this photo is, but... |
She looks fine to me. I guess she suffers from acute anxieties now, and no longer wants to perform.
| 175. She's bipolar, actually |
She had a particularly bad flare-up in the 1980's, and then again while she was doing "Empty Nest" and had to quit.
| 76. Oh my...Buddy on Family |
and me. I dreamed of her a misunderstood outcast girl and me a nerdy, chubby little boy...running away together... <sigh> I will love her forever. I hope she is doing so much better...
| 121. My mother loved that show. |
I watched it, of course, hoping it was a Buddy-centric episode, which occurred far too infrequently.
| 154. OMG, holy shit, I remember that!! |
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
Run, run as fast as you can! It's NOSTALGIA! NOooooooooooooooooooo.......
| 165. Yup. Mine, too. And I HAD that issue of Dynamite up on my wall. |
I went from Kristy to Jacqueline Smith and Cheryl Ladd.
I still have a crush on Ringo. He's so odd.
George Harrison when I was 6 1/2 and the Beatles were on the Ed Sullivan Show.
However, my dad told me when I was in high school that I had a major crush on Paul Anka when I was about 3.
| 148. LOL I had a major crush on Paul Anka when I was about 12. It |
lasted a couple of years.
I also had a crush on JFK the whole time he was president.
I was a huge Hardy Boys fan.
| 42. You can have him - I'll take the other Hardy Boy |
That lasted until my brother forced me to listen to Led Zeppelin!
| 144. You and my sister were probably singing "Hey Deanie" at the same time. |
The stars are dancin' in the moonlight...
Drove me crazy, because, of course, he was far better-looking that me. I had no chance with the neighborhood 10-year-olds.
| 176. I played "Hey Deanie" over and over, ROTFL |
I drove my family to distraction! At those times, I'd put on my headset and then keep playing it!
| 44. Victoria Principal. This was back when "Dallas" was on the air. eom |
| 45. An actor named Susumu Kurobe. |
He was the hero in the show Ultraman. Now that I'm older I still think he's quite handsome but I've realize that he is a pretty bad actor.
| 46. Karen Valentine on... |
LOOOOOOOOVE American StyyyyyyYYYYYyyyyle.... it's me and YOOOOOO...
| 54. Karen Valentine was one of my firsts, too... |
...even though she was a bit too old for me during the "Room 222" years. Except that this coincided with my MAD crush on my first-grade teacher, Miss Voelp. Anyway, a million years later, in the early '90s, I was living in L.A. and got to know Karen's agent, who was nice enough to get me an amazing 8X10 glossy of Karen, who wrote a totally sweet note on it for me! And 20 years after "222," she still looked great!

When I was a little kid, I wanted to marry her, but that damn Neil Geraldo got to her first! Then it was her. I couldn't stop thinking about her for the longest time. I was a chronic little perv monster...
| 187. Definitely Erin Gray! |
Honorable mention goes to Pinky Tuscadero(sp.?) from Happy Days.
| 228. yay Buck Rogers! the colonel was hot!! |
despite that granny name Wilma. my granma actually had a bridge partner called Wilma. between that and the spandex jumpsuit i found it all very conflicting
| 50. Davy Jones or George Harrison |
cartoon George, of course.
I cried at the end of "Empire Strikes Back". I think that's when my Dad knew I was gay.
Though I was gonna say, Han Solo.
| 53. Kate Jackson than Lynda Carter |
too spent many a good time thinking and other things about her.
| 56. Pamelyn Ferdin. An older woman... |
I was about seven and I guess she was about ten.
Amazing how, more than 30 years later, I still remember.
But that's love, innit? No statute of limitation there.
| 85. Do you know what she's up to now? |
| 110. I heard she's an animal rights activist...? |
I dunno, really. Good question. I guess I could Google her. Maybe I will do. But you seem to know. What's she doing now?
Whatever she's doing, it has to be great, because I was a pretty good judge of character, even at the age of 7, and she's stuck in the ol' memory for all this time, so that has to mean something.
She's a very outspoken activist and is involved in some interesting stuff for these times. Also a registered nurse and married to a heart surgeon. < www.pamelynferdin.com/home.html >
| 58. Robert Conrad as Jim West in the Wild Wild West |
| 59. Like many girls my age, |
Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Sigh. I just looked him up on wikipedia and apparently he is now an active 'pro-lifer'.
| 63. I thought he was gay? |
Like I thought he actually came out.
| 67. if he did i don't see it on his wiki page |
| 68. I thought he had, too |
| 103. I just checked it out - we've got another Kirk Cameron/Willie Aames on our hands |
Former coverboys of Tiger Beat magazine now pushing xtian crap
yeah, just like a bunch of rich white boys to feel they have say over our bodies right
| 178. I never did like JTT |
Now I know why...I guess I just sensed the anti-abortionist within.
"I Just Wanna Be Your Everything" was the first 45 I ever bought.
| 64. Bobby Sherman, David Cassidy, and then Willie Aames a little later. |
| 156. Debbi, hate to tell you this, but Willie -- |
Big fat effin' asshole. We went to the same high school. He came into the drive-thru where I was working one night, never spoke to me or made eye contact, never said hello or thank you, threw a $20 bill at me, and was just as rude to his girlfriend in the passenger seat. Easy come, easy go . . .
| 205. did he go to high school around here? (m) |
Or were you living else where at the time? Sorry he was a jerk. And you know, if that kind of behavior wasn't enough to make him a total turn off, he became Bible Man after Eight is Enough.
| 210. Edison HS, Huntington Beach. |
It didn't bother me. I've never been surprised at the behavior of the famous. Yeah. Bible man.
| 218. He came off as a real asshole on Celebrity Fit Club too. |
| 65. BUT! I shall never tell who my super secret celebrity crush is... |
Nevah!
No way!
Nope!
Not!
Not on your life!
*nods head*
Your first celebrity crush, like way back in the day.... nothing to feel embarrassed about now.... come on, come on, come on....
| 87. I told the first one up thread... |
This one shall remain anonymous.
Sometimes all one has, is mystery.
*deep sigh*
What are you afraid of? Judgment? Julie Newmar and Sophie Lauren are both hotties. Hell I embarrass myself here daily and I just confessed that I want a stuffed chimpanzee for Christmas to snuggle with every night (ok, I may have skipped that part of the story, but there you have it.)
| 94. Oh, no... Definately not embarassment. |
For I too once had a stuffed chimpanzee!
Not as cute as yours, but, a chimpanzee never-the-less.
But, some things... Are better in my mind's eye.
| 96. But a celebrity crush? |
hmmmm the only thing I can imagine is that it is of your same gender and there is nothing wrong with that either. But I shall bug you no more. You are entitled to your own secrets. I'm incredibly attracted to Angelina Jolie, Natalie Imbruglia, and Alicia Silverstone.
| 99. No, although I think Vin Diesel is a hottie... |
That's not why I keep her a super secret. It's because once a wish is told it won't come true.
| 100. When does a celebrity crush ever come true? |
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 02:54 PM by BarenakedLady
Unless you have a secret in. Who do you know? Hmmmm. Inquiring minds want to know.... Is it a six degrees of separation thing? Oh crap, I said I'd drop it. I'll drop it.
| 104. Yes I am replying to myself |
I was thinking about that whole six degrees of separation thing. I have so many that are 3 degrees from me. My SIL is very good friends (still is) with Rachel Dratch from SNL (no longer a cast member) anyone that hosted or starred in SNL during her years is 3 degrees of separation from me. Yeah, ok that's pretty sad.
| 69. The first one I remember... |
was Christopher Plummer from the Sound of Music. I was 10 or 11. Then, in my teens, I discovered Star Trek and......James Doohan. No Kirk for me, Give me the geeky tech guy! So I'm weird and geeky.
| 71. Edward Furlong as .... John Connor in T2 |
| 73. I hate to admit it now but |
Kirk Cameron... I even got to meet him at Six Flags once. Fred Savage too, but I think that was after Kirk.
| 80. Elvis Presley...the only catch was that my crush was in 1987 or so... |
10 years after his death!
I ran many a batch of knuckle children to those razzi shots of her in a thong bikini
| 92. How long ago was this...and it what film was she wearing a thong? |
it wasnt a film. it was papparazzi shots. id say from 5-6 years ago. internet search
| 83. Bobby Sherman, David Cassidy, Davy Jones and ,later, Robert Conrad. |
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 01:54 PM by CottonBear
I loved to read Tiger Beat magazine! I actually met DAvy Jones a few years ago when he appearedf int he stage play of that Brady Bunch episode where Marcia invites him to the prom. He's still really cute but he is teeny tiny! He's smaller than Paul Newman who I saw in person at a car race. He walked right past me. I was all grown up but I still felt like a little teenager when I met him! My heart went pitter pat! I've got his autograph somewhere.
| 86. Then, when the hormones kicked in the teens... |
In my neighborhood, The Partridge Family was universally loved by the girls (swooning over David Cassidy) and the boys (pining for Laurie Partridge).
| 90. Carl Wilson-Beach Boys..... |
still have a crush on him today.....rest in peace, Carl.
| 91. God, I'm going to get so much flack for this.... |
but it was a tie between Couneslor Troi (Maria Sirtis?) and....ugh.... DJ from Full House. Yes, a young Candice Cameron. I was like 8 or 9 years old, so leave me the fuck alone lol.
| 97. When she danced in those stretch capris, I got woozy |
| 98. Lynda "Wonder Woman" Carter |
Not too many women could fill out a costume like she could

| 106. Micky Dolenz of the Monkees nt |
| 108. Apollo from the original Battlestar Galactica |
I think his name is Richard Hatch?
| 143. One of my friends was not allowed to put up a poster |
of Richard Hatch because on this poster the top button of his pants was undone. Her Pentecostal parents considered that obscene. Wow! Imagine what they'd think of Britney Spears!
| 226. don't remember the poster but.... |
that does sound a little unsavoury - would it hurt to check your fly before the photoshoot? i'm hoping he maybe just put on weight during the series.
I was smitten after seeing him in "The Great Escape".
Ice-T. The thread someone posted a few night ago, really brought me back.
It was him or LL Cool J.
| 113. Double crush on Barbara Eden and Yvonne Craig. |
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 04:02 PM by edbermac
| 139. are those Barbara Edens nippies showing? |
| 203. Is that a photoshop of Jeannie's Nipples? |
OMG, I dream of Jeannie and her nipples... RL
| 116. David Cassidy! And Bobby Sherman was a close second... |
And that was Partridge Family David Cassidy, not the modern asshole.
| 125. Bobby Sherman was cool in "Here Come the Brides" |
when I was in my Laura Ingalls Wilder envy stage.
After that, he did nothing for me.
lol
You have great taste, carida!
| 126. If I ever found somone who could wear his mustache |
I would be enslaved even to this day.
I had a crush on Morticia, and Gomez. They were both beautiful! The show is on DVD now, and I was happy when it was released. Tish, that's French!
| 169. The margarine of evil! |
| 194. You like the sig, bubele? |
| 120. Don Knotts. I was a little one and he made me laugh. |
Ever since then, I've always loved men with a sense of humor.
Mr. kt is hysterical. He's one of those kinds of people who cracks everyone up, all the time.
We're about the same age, and I used to watch Who's The Boss? religiously just to see her. Never really lost the crush either...I grieved when Charmed finally ended earlier this year
| 123. Mary Ann From Gilligan's Island |
| 128. Pernell Roberts...Adam on Bonanza |
then David Cassidy and then Dirk Benedict.
My crush was on Little Joe, not Michael Landon.
| 129. Shawn Cassidy, and Scott Baio |
I had a record by Shawn Cassidy that I listened to over and over again.
true, she is about 15 years older than me, but she looked great on the Sonny and Cher show.
was probably my earliest. Then in Jr. High I had a SERIOUS thing for Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly (Cagney and Lacey).
I actually still have the poster
| 136. Speed Racer. Yes, I know he wasn't real. |
To a six-year-old, that didn't particularly matter.
| 137. Where is Annette Funicelo? |
poor woman. Haven't seen her in a couple of years.
Gardner McKay on "Adventures in Paradise" TV show. I was five years old. This was in circa 1960.
Then it was the three-headed monster: John, Paul and George when I was eight and they were on Ed Sullivan.
Then when I was actually teenybopper age, it was The Monkees. Mike Nesmith, the nerd and Davy Jones, the little one.
I still think he is dreamy.
| 160. (he IS the real deal, isn't he) |
| 147. I'm ashamed to tell , actually ..... |
so I won't. too embarrassed to say - and I know you'll NEVER guess - esp. those of you who are oh, say, 30 and under.
First there was... Then she appeared... But then we got HBO and I found... Now I just hope for a pulse and lower moral standing...
| 150. Susan Dey on The Partridge Family |
She was so, um, svelte. Yeah, that's the ticket.

And, no, I'm not THAT old. When I fell in love with her, I was 10 and she was 59. I saw an old film of her singing "Cabin In The Sky" in B&W, and my heart melted. I think I'm still in love with her. What a voice, and what a looker!
| 153. Donny Osmond. But my second was more telling: |
Toni Tennille. GAWD, what a voice. A classically-trained musician, FYI.
| 155. Davy Jones and Paul McCartney |
| 157. Michael Jackson. Turns out I was the right age, just the wrong gender |
Cheap shot I know but I truly was 5 and in love with MJ.
It was those cheekbones...I swear it was.
oh my! I can't believe no one else on this thread has mentioned him yet.
| 202. Richard Chamberlain was a DOLL! |
Yup!!! My early TV watching years.
I was a kid and saw her in "Cat Billou". She was sooo Hot!!
I watched for that movie to come on TV every chance I got.
LOL.
| 168. I found two Cat Ballou's |
This one or this one? Image
| 162. Johnny Cash I Was 9 Years Old |
I'm weird, what can I say?
I saw "Extasy" at 3am on a local station when I was 12, think; what a Goddess and a brilliant mind:
I loved "Starsky and Hutch", LOL. I was about 9 years old at the time.
| 173. Sigourney Weaver is the first I can remember |
When I first saw her in "Ghostbusters"
aka "Winnie Cooper" on "The Wonder Years." I was about six years old at the time. Here is a more recent pic: She's still involved in acting (though I've never seen her in anything besides that show); still very pretty and a math whiz to boot.
| 204. She was on West Wing for a while |
| 179. I was certain that I was going to marry Paul McCartney. |
It made no difference that he was already married and I had yet to purchase my first training bra. Had I had the money, I would have purchased and sent out the wedding announcements.
| 219. I wanted to marry John Mellencamp. I wanted him to wait for me to be old enough... |
(He's 15 years older than I am; this was when I was about 16). His first two wives were older than I, then he got divorced again, obviously did not wait for me, and then married a woman younger than I.
| 180. The only celeb I dated was one of the Neiman, Marcus heirs. |
She acted too condescending so naturally I left (like an idiot).
| 182. Probably Diana Rigg. |
I was very young during the Marie phase. I even had purple socks like Donnie. After that it was Parker Stevenson from the Hardy Boys, Linda Carter, Bo Duke, and then a Debbie Harry crush that still hasn't completely ended.
| 190. I think that I had a huge crush on Ringo Starr. (I was really, really young.) |
Otherwise, I think that it was Peter Frampton.
| 192. Jan on The Brady Bunch |
To Hell with Marsha, that stuck-up little bitch, it's Jan all the way for me. I guess we were kindred spirits, the ugly duckling younger sib, but in my case I'm still ugly.

i wanted to fight for her honor and be the hero she was dreaming of. and live forever knowing together we did it all for the glory of love
i was 10
A crush which (IIRC) celebrated its 20th anniversary this year.
| 201. Sean Cassidy or Scott Baio. I can't remember. |
| 212. One of my first was Barretta AKA Robert Blake. |
He was running for governor. I didn't dare tell a sole I had a crush on a white guy.
....Running a close second was Barbi Benton...grr, Baby!!
| 215. My first huge crush was John Travolta- I was 5 |
My next one was John Taylor from Duran Duran
| 216. Penny on the TV show Sky King! |
It showed on saturday mornings along with "My Friend Flicka" and "Rin Tin Tin"
| 217. Topanga from "Boy Meets World". |
| 220. The guy who played Superman on Smallville. |
I forget his name and I'm too lazy to google it. Tom something?
Then Arthur Lee. "A House is Not a Motel" is the song that got me. Man was crazy, but sanity has never had the same artistic appeal.
| 221. Jessica Alba when she was on Dark Angel |
Damn she was HOT in that show. Also Raven-Symone, not the little girl but the adult young woman that she is now.
Blue
| 223. Mary Tyler Moore as Laura Petrie |
Wowza. Bigtime crush on her.
In my defense, I think I was 5 years old. First true celeb passion was Alissa Milano. I even sent her an invitation to my 13th birthday party. She never came
| 234. Elizabeth Montgomery and Inger Stevens..... |
| 235. Steve Austin, Astronaut, A Man Barely Alive... |
My very first crush, seeing Mary Poppins at the ripe old age of 5 --- I think he was the first good-lookin' man I'd ever seen, but I never fell outa love with him, although I didn't bother to try to see all his movies as the years went by (not much for movies . . . )
At my "complusive heterosexual" years, I thought it was Tom Cruise who "did that" to me for the first time at 12 years of age. Now I see what I couldn't have even CONSIDERED in 1986. =) Still love that scene. Oddly enough, I do still enjoy the volleyball scene. =)
