I was so hungry for that frozen Lean Cuisine Pizza. I hope the bastard that stole it rots long and hard in hell while visions of my 4-cheese pizza dance around you but you can never ever get them!

2. Why the FUCK do people think it's OK to do that????
:grr: I know several people that have had this happen to them, even with their names plastered all over their meals. One of my friends caught the culprit in the act, and he was nonchalant about it. She was livid, and he acted like it was no big deal. Fucking sociopaths...

Those bastards KNOW they didn't bring it. :nuke:

5. We had a thief at a previous place where I worked
And a co-worker brought in her special-made cupcakes. In about 4 hours we knew who the thief was since he didn't leave the bathroom for the rest of the day.

What really sucks is the fact that I'm working in a corporate environment where I swear everyone makes more than me. I'm not hear to subsidize other folks lunchtimes

7. Well, that's a clever way to solve the problem...
 Not to mention that PAYBACK IS HELL!!!

And I've noticed that higher-ups usually are the ones that pull shit like that. The poor lowly people know what it's like to scrape by and don't do that to each other.

to take whatever they want out of the fridge. x(

9. This happens where I work as well but not to me
because I eat stuff like Amy's Indian food and such. Sometimes my food is HOT so whomever would steal it would be nabbed by complaining about the heat.

11. You ever feel like setting a trap....
...you know... chopped up ex-lax inside of a pizza...
placed conspicuously in the front of the fridge...
with a note saying "Do not throw away" ?

Then, watching, to see who has to run to the bathroom
20 times that afternoon?

But, I would never do anything like that.

13. I had that happen at a job I used to work at
This one employee would eat all sorts of stuff people left down in the lunch room. If I left chips they would be completely gone within a day so one day I bought a bag of Doritos and a big bottle of Cayenne pepper. Cayenne pepper happens to be the same color as the coating on Doritos  He refuse to admit he ate any but the owner of the store heard him in the bathroom for 15 minutes with the water running.

Edited on Tue Dec-12-06 03:25 PM by Javaman
each month, here were I work.

I send out a humorous email company wide 2 days before and 10 minutes before the actual clean out.

I can't even begin to tell you the responses I get regarding thievery. It's beyond belief, but what gets me more is that people stomp and throw tantrums over a stolen candy bar or a can of coke.
It's one thing if it's a persons lunch or a special diet dealie get looted but it's entirely a different thing in my eyes, when people go ballistic over crap.

Simply amazing.

19. I had my water bottle stolen from the work fridge on a near-100 degree
day back in August when I had it in there chilling - I did that so I could have cold water when I worked out at the gym right after I left work! :grr: It was the first day in all the years I worked there that I actually put my water bottle in the fridge! I did that a couple of more times after that, and put my name and initials in like 5 places on the bottle so there wouldn't be any "misunderstandings"...

21. One word: Habaneros
I had a serious problem with that for a while. I was on a diet and would bring in my Lean Cuisine lunches, they'd get stolen about half the time. I got sick of it, and for a few days started bringing in only the chicken enchilada lunches...pre-spiced with ground habaneros. I knew they were there and skimmed the top before eating them, but the poor manager in a neighboring department that grabbed it on the third day didn't. He was SHRIEKING as he ran from the break room to the bathroom :D

My lunches stopped vanishing after that, but I'm still glad I don't work there anymore. Some companies are just corrupt, and their employees can be as bad as their corporat etho's. That particular place was full of backstabbers, gossips, and thieves.

Time to put that plan into action. :grr: Stupid asshole bastard deserves what he/she gets. :nuke: I can't believe you got skunked again. I'll bet it's the same thief.

27. I've posted 2 notes.
One still hangs on the fridge (I even signed it) and no one's taken it off. The first one I took off after 2 weeks - it was inside taped to a drawer and didn't contain language meant for polite company. ;)

I totally agree with you - I HATE that shit. It's so frustrating to go to get something that's no longer there. Honestly, at least where I work, I don't think people intend to be assholes, I think it's more a problem with not being able to see past their own selfishness enough to understand their actions can and do affect other people.

23. I'll tell you a story about this topic...
Where I used to work (at a newspaper) there were often leftovers from department parties in the refrigerator (like extra cake, etc.) One day there was one beautiful piece of cheesecake left on a large plate, and I assumed it was left over from the party that the Classifieds department had that day. I was really hungry so I ate it. The next day there was a note on the refrigerator with a very nasty tone to it. The note chastised whoever took the cheesecake and wished all sorts of awful things to happen to them. It was signed by a certain young woman who I barely knew. What little I knew of her I thought she was a very sweet, innocent, even elegant lady about 22 years old. I had no idea she had such dark, evil thoughts in her as well. I went to a fancy dessert store and bought a gift certificate (I think for $12, if I remember correctly) and put it in an envelope with a written apology, explaining that I thought it was leftover from a party and that it was fair game. I did not sign it, I just casually dropped it into her mail slot when nobody was looking. I never told her or any other person that it was me. After that, I always put my name on anything I left in the refrigerator. I would recommend that, as if someone is going to steal some food, at least they know who they are stealing it from, thus they carry a little guilt and may act different around that person.

25. My husband had that problem at work for a long time..
He marked the stuff, left notes, and even resorted to spitting on his food ( it still didn't stop anyone but he got a perverse satisfaction knowing the culprit consumed a loogie). Finally we just invested in a good quality portable cooler and he keeps his stuff right be him now.

26. Leave a note: "Whoever took the Lean Cuisine pizza - there's a recall due to high levels of mercury
found in some boxes in Florida. If you did eat the pizza, please get to an emergency room ASAP and have your stomach pumped."
