I told my wife that we should not get each other presents for Christmas

instead we should increase our charitable giving and activities. She said that was a great idea. Then I went out and bought a whole bunch of stuff for her. I intend on fulfilling our charitable plans but I guess I'm gonna get my ass kicked on Christmas morning when I break out the presents.

I guess that was pretty dumb of me. But, I don't care if I get anything, but I do want to get her stuff. Hell, I don't need anything. After 32 years of marriage I have everything I need or want. I'll find some way to tell her about my chicanery but I'll wait a little while so her window of shopping closes up somewhat. We are searching for a family we can help. We are careful about that, because believe it or not, some folks make bogus claims about their destitudeness.
